What color for my 240SX coupe ?

Hey, It's really hard to find a good color for my old 240sx 92 coupe...
Actually, my paint is champagne and i'm looking for something different. My first idea was Pearl White but this color is a pain in the ass to do and to match up....

I don't want something with a metallic inside the color. My choice right now is Colonial White but, maybe you've got something more classy and not too "white" ?

I hope i'll have some suggestion and pictures!!

I just saw the 1992 240sx color book (only in 1992) and it was the only one i liked on the paper...
For the rest, I have no idea.... I just need some suggestion. You opinion matter for me because i started this thread to help me first and I have no experience with the color.... (This is the first time i'm doing this)
Maybe, there's something more interesting than this non-original white!

Yeah, I know, pearl white is very nice but my father told me he doesn't know if he can do a great job with this type of paint.

OK OK.. I'll let you in on what im doing with my paint. because god knows i need it eventually.. It's going like this:

Body - Jaguar white ( kinda like an ice looking white)
Roof - Black
Undercarriage - White
Subframe - Black


And if you say oh the undercarriage is gonna get so dirty BLAH BLAH BLAH.. I dont care because this car doesnt always come out for rides. The underbody doesnt have to be perfect because its not like everyone is gonna be staring at it...but paint is the last thing I'm worrying about..

you should make the exterior match the interior! Something like UPS brown would do the trick.

this is what i was thinkin..... n since ur askin, if ur gonna keep the interior brown and have white exterior, the interior will pop out i think. although i did see this beamer b4 w this colorscheme and, i gotta admit it was badass. not sure if the shape/size/aesthetic features of ur ride will complement the colorscheme that's why.. best way is to find out urself... get a visual aid... photochop!! :mepoke: can u do mine after? jk... goodluck n post pix when u're done.

my interior is brown but I have 70% of the black part for the interior.
I decided to keep it that way because I have leather inside and i don't feel like spending 800$ for a black leather interior.

I say just mess around with a Paint Program such as Photoshop till ya find a color that works. I decided to paint my car 350z Lemans Sunset Orange, wanted it to stand out. Expensive as Sh*t though, about $160 a quart just for color.

Ive been very partial to the R34 blue ( Dont remember the name ) and throw in some peal/flake. Im still trying to decide on what to paint the hatch. It wa gonna origianlly be Cadillac Escalade EXT pearl white. but i think im gonna stay away from white.

I have a 92 coupe as well. I have a silvia front end and aero, though... but im painting mine some pewter color. I think its called gold mica or something like that. Im pretty sure its a lexus paint. I still havent looked into it. I reccommend walking around a new car dealership till you see a paint you like.

how hard is it to paint pearl its so hard to fuck up.. layin down pearl is exactly like layin down base... seal , base, pearl, clear....its a tri-coat... pick the brighest white then lay down a violet pearl. thats pimp...

160 for a quart makes 2 quarts dependin on which paint system... dupont is a 1:1 ratio... thats usually enough.... but some colors need more coverage, then your gonna have to get a like color basecoat for ground.............but that nothing

Yes "TheTimanator", but I did a s13 Silvia front! I have only painted the engine bay so far, still in the process of finishing off my wide body kit. I will be posting pics once complete.
