So sunday was my first championship event for Solo2 in SoCal and I was doing alot of testing at practice the day before so I could get used to my new tires. I got Avon Tech R's 225/50/ZR16. I was hitting cones like crazy during practice and didn't get it dialed in til the last couple laps, I got lots of understeer now, but maybe just me over driving it.
For the sunday champ. event I think I unofficially won in DSP by 0.034 secs I believe over two Corollas and a handful of other cars. Just got by with such a small margin, but I'll take it when everything is official. Hopefully I didn't read it wrong and wasn't looking at page 2 lol. Killing me waiting for the official results to be posted.
The bad thing is I cooked one of the tires and 85% sure I have to get it replaced for the next event...

Here are the results:
1. 540/DSP 92 NISS 240SX 61.659
2. 871/DSP 86 TOYO COROLA GTS 61.693
3. 861/DSP 85 TOYO COROLLA GT 62.369
4. 78/DSP 97 DODG NEON 64.758
5. 142/DSP 92 BMW 325IS 67.279
6. 622/DSP 00 SUBA IMPRESA 67.801
Good thing he new I was a 240sx on sunday, they were calling me a sentra on saturday. I'm still quite off by about 3 seconds. The PAX DSP BMW's where alot quicker than me. Just need more practice.
Just go to Solo2.com for the SoCal events. The next one is Feb 19th-20th I believe. If you want to get in practice you need to sign up right when they post the information cause they limit the # of cars and is usually booked up quick.

heck no. you won't lose that much tire tread (especially with street tires.) don't worry about it.

Yes it was haha thanks for the wheels again.
On the tires, they'll last a long time. I got 40 thread wear tires and I'm confident they'll last the whole season except for the one with the huge flat spot on the one I cooked.

yeah, i went on the sunday one, which was only 3-4 runs, and it's a really small course, good drivers as listed run about a minute or so depending on course set up, bad drivers like me run in the 80 second range... so tire wear is minimal

alrite thanks for the info guys. about how much track time do you get the whole day?

Practice you get about 10-16 laps (~60 secs/lap) a day. It depends on the amount of people sign up and the amount of day light there is. It might not sound like much but 16 laps is good enough for me. Try it out some time before anyone can/can't say its not enough bang for your buck.
Championships are 3 laps so you better make each one count. Its real competative out there.
If you do go out there, just look for the white s13 coupe and I'll answer any questions you got out there even though I'm still kinda a newby.

I sabotaged his car. Just kidding, don't know and didn't look at his car to see what he had.

Good job, way to represent nissan! Hey are any of you 240's planning on running any of the Pro-Solo's in cali this year? I havent run into any running them yet.
Also AWD=Heavy. Although I used to lose to Hiro Sumida when he sported a impreza in STS, and he was very fast in that setup!
