just wondering for those of you who said silkroad... do you have any first hand experience with the buddy clubs? I haev no doubt that the silk roads are great dampers, but it's mighty hard to directly compare 2 damper systems unless you have experience w/ both... just seems like only a few people have tried the buddy clubs and silk roads get alot of popular reviews due to the fact relatively more ppl have tried them.

yea, it seems like the silkroads are great but not many people actually have experience with the BCs... and the BCs have a pretty good following in other crowds, so it shall be interesting to see how they actually are.

Honda crowd seems to like the BC's.

You can get the Racing Specs for around $1300 with the pillow ball upper mounts if you look around, I think Jspec has 'em.

back on topic: Silk Road doesnt really have a main office/serviceability in NA, but if you need something done or replaced from them they can do it at a super fast turn around rate straight from Japan!

http://www.silkroad-usa.com/ straight search on google. Even so keep your stockers if you need to get the coils rebuilt so you have something to roll on when they are getting repaired.

I have had the silks in my s13 and have driven S14s with them. I was shooting for the tanabe DDs but I would get the silks again in a heartbeat.

I live in SI NY and had a commute to the Bronx for 4 months with the silks in rain and snow. Never complained. Their valving soak up bumps very well.

Okay, what do you guys think about the 40 way adjustability on the Silks? I think that is a little much....are you guys adjusting by 5 clicks at a time or what? I can't imagine 1 on a scale of 40 would do much.

Though Buddy Club aren't as popular as the Silk Roads, We've sold a couple of sets of the Racing Spec Coilovers from BC... Customers all seemed to be happy. I've personally felt the ride in the BC Racing Spec and I must say, at first I was un-sure of them, however, after feeling them first hand, I was a firm follower of the BC Racing Spec system however on the other hand, I've also felt the Silk Roads and admittingly, I wasn't suprised to the results it had, which was a comfortable ride and firm when needed. All in all, for those who doubt the BC Line, I can say that they are just as good as the Silkroad brand.

Yeah, which Megan Racing coilover did you get?

Don't forget, slimmer wheels, narrower tracks, and a ton of other things can contribute to body roll. Maybe he didn't tighten the bolts on the Tanabe sway bars when the car's on the ground on a flat surface?

Also, don't you have an S14? Comparing S14 to S13 is like comparing apples to oranges IMO.

I was in the same dilemma, trying to choose between buddy clubs and silk roads. I called option imports to speak with them about the buddy clubs. The guy i talked to said he has them on his S13. He liked them, but he said they were too soft and bouncy. Then i decided to go silk road.

Im just subscribing to this thread to see where this goes. I am looking at the Silk Roads also. I want to get rid of my 6/5kg Flex's for some quality 8/7kg coilovers. and right now, silk road looks to be my best bet.

i picked up my Silks today, I bought them because theyre on the cheaper side of "name" coilovers ($1400 shipped www.festivegarage.com) but are credited to pack a big punch. I like that they're gas charged as opposed to oil filled too.

I would definitely go with the Silk Roads. They are used a lot in Japan among all the drifters. Really good spring set up.

I have personally seen the FLT-A2 break around the bracket on a WRX. I don't know he did it but I have never heard of any other coilovers breaking. Also, have fun with the customer service.
