Hi guys, I need to get an exhaust for my s13 sr20. I have pretty much narrowed it down to the nurspec R and the GP EXAS spec 2 stainless. I have searched for both of these exhausts, and I found that the nurspec tends to hang a little low, especially if the car is lowered. I was woundering if the gp has better clearance? and If anyone has any pros and cons of these exhausts, and if anyone has the exas spec 2 pro. I dont care about sound, I like loud exhausts. Thanx alot!
I was also reading on the GP sports site and it showed the exas spec 2 pro had less topend power than the spec 2 nonpro model, is this because it doesnt have a resinator? Which one do you recommend?

i suggest just going with a gp sports spec D (For Doriftu) hahaha
but yeah spec d= cheap and loud and power and deep. also isnt there a thread like this in the poll's section?

I got blitz...and its loud. I thought going SR was gonna muffle it down again....guess again!!! Clearance is not really much of an issue *then again my cars only lowered with Eibachs sportline* Comes with a silencer which makes a world of difference with the noise level.

why would you go with the spec d over the spec 2 or the spec 2 pro? I don't care about the price difference and I would like a full stainless. What i want to know is the clearance on the these exhausts good, and which one "spec D,spec2,or spec2pro" would be the best for an SR? and is the only difference between the spec2 and pro, is the resinator? thanx again for the info

blitz!!! its not that loud on turbo...try N/A with that damn nur spec...now that is loud. it suked for me early in the morning on N/A and now its not so bad on turbo. and the scilencer does a world of good for lowering the noise.
trust me it sounds great. and ground clearence isnt a prob like most peoples exhaust. im on s. techs and im good....as long as i take it easy on speed bumps.

ok.. #1 mild steel = lighter than stainless.
A good mild steel setup will last a few years...
also the spec d has only the muffler as a silencer ultra light weight
the spec d pro has the... pre silencer as well..
i honestly.. Do not justify spending extra dough on getting full stainless.
How long do you plan on having your car? how much of it is driven in snow..
etc...

pft, I don't think the GP Sports spec D is loud. mines on a NA car, and with the silencer in its pretty quiet...compared to other exhausts anyway.

me too, please please, post pics of the GP SPorts Spec-D Pro exhaust, or any GP sports. Are you happy with the overall quality of it. I really need to see some pics of it on an s14 though. :wavey:

yeah i have the spec r on my ka N/A and its pretty LOUD. but im sure any 3inch exhaust on a N/A car would be loud anyway. Get the gp sports!

blitz spec R , IMO is prolly the best exhaust sound ever, thats why i bought it. the only thing is it tends to be a tad bit louder than others.

nur spec ftw...i have it on my sr powered s13 and it sounds sick. With the silencer on the tone is low and very deep (sounds really good) but since I live in florida the silencer was only on from the muffler shop to my house (15 min)...as far as hanging low I won't know until my coilovers get install, cuz right now I'm on stock suspension
