I swapped out my HICAS with the lock bar. That was a bitch.

As for telling the difference, I'm sure most couldn't notice any.

People dislike what they do not understand, there is a lot of b.s. floating around about HICAS system on the s13's not working properly.

How they can prove it beats me.

i noticed the back end is more predictable when the hicas is disabled,

how do i know?

my sr and bald all season tires (5% tread left) in the back loves to slide around cornerds in the rain

one night i was doing gtech runs and at 195 my hicas distrubution block blew and spewed oil all over my exhaust and smoked like a group of stoners in a 1983 olds.

when i drove my car in the rain with the belt off the ps pump (no ps no hicas) for 1.5 months in the rain the car sideways was much more predictable

anyone who says its impossible to drift with hicas is a liar :hsdance:

Grip driving? You mean like normal driving and stuff??

i drove a hicas once

guy in my class has one with hicas

took it for a boot...he says its forever causing problems, clunky and it really makes the suspension feel like a dead squid around corners compared to mine

way i see it, more shit to break and more unneeded weight.

does it make the car handle better?? Maybe a little bit. Is that negligible difference in handling worth the hassle and repair bills and headaches and added weight? No.

I owned a hicas car, still do. Its a full second faster on a shitty little road course 60 seconds long. Yeh it does something.

It does suck ass in the rain on the street though...

I love my hicas for everyday driving. Yes it sucks for drifting, but for road racing, autocross and stuff like that, its a great improvement. Then again, my hicas was in perfect working order. My friend has hicas on his car and it sucks. Im guessing with age, it does suck. You will definitely notice it when driving. I love the grip and traction. Put tires liek azenis and man, its compareable to AWD.
