Instead of wondering about turbo kits, I was wondering about people that had turbo ka's that were pieced together, what did you use ?, how much modifying did you do yourself ?, I was searching but got tired of finding stuff for sale, and people asking what turbos were...and ka-t.org...so I thought I would just post about it.

injectors-370cc from Sr20
S-afc
-3 oil lines
-10 water lines
-10 oil return line
hope that helps.
oh yeah and a small battery. i ran the car with stock injectors for awhile. next on the list is a boost controller and z32 MAF. max boost is only at 3500rpm about 8 lbs of boost not fun at at that point. just leaves you wanting more!!

I've got my plains laid out, but still working on the cash flow:
t3/t4 turbo
boostdesigns intercooler (small, but fits without modifying bumper support)
tial 38mm wastegate
1g DSM blow-off-valve
walbro 255 fuel pump
a couple of guages (boost, oil temp)
a borrowed wideband for an initial tune
I'll probably just go with the S-AFC and 370cc injectors.
I'd like to get an MSD to adjust timing in boost, but we'll have to see how the finances go.
And I'm getting the manifold and entire exaust system custom built by a local shop.

For the price of the 2 of those (MSD BTM + SAFC II) you could afford an enthalopy/JWT ECU. Better IMO if you want to upgrade.

Not entirely true... I got both for way under the price of a new ECU, you just have to shop around... :D

Abit off-topic but you guys might be interested... Check out our next issue of Grassroots Motorsports. They will have a great story on building a budget turbo system for just about any car, using junkyard parts.

wasabigarage is expensive!!! SSAutoChrome has cheaper manifolds, ugh! I hate tight budgets!
