Which would be a better choice if I was planning to reach 350whp with GT2871r. HKS Type S(900) or Greddy vspl (700). If the Vspl was sufficient, I'd rather get that because I have heard the HKS scratches on the bottom due to the size. Help is appreciated. THANKS.

When I was looking at intercoolers, I was looking at the same two as you are. I asked a guy at the shop which one was better and he said that the greddy vspl was better because of the metal it was made out of did not retain heat as much as the HKS one did. So I ended up getting the greddy one, as for clearance issues with the hks i dont know but i know that the greddy one clears fine, it goes right to the bottom of the bumper on an s14.

if your going cheap, get the blitz spl, Its more expensive a lil, but it is a good intercooler value,

HKS type S has no cleareance issues. all i can say is that you cant go wrong with HKS!! :)

and the hks is better because the inlet and outlet are pointed upwards so that the "whole" intercooler gets used.
