They look like the MB Motoring rims, but the spokes look a lot more sunk.
I could only find mbM rims on discouint tire or wheels or something, and biggest they had was 17x8, and it didn't look that sunk. do we have to special order them? or are they a different rim?
here's the pictures, green s13 in the back.

They look like the MB Motoring rims...
Yeah, they do...
Go to www.discounttiredirect.com, click on "wheels", search by size...enter 17X9, 5X114.3...find the "MB Motorsports Weapon" with a +17 offset, for $128/wheel.

the 17x9 come in 17 or 27 offset. which one should i get? i plan on putting 225 40/17 tires on them...
for an s13, hoping to go for maximum flushness without rolling rear fenders.
and also, what offset should i get for the fronts.

get 17 in the back no doubt about it. u gotta have 5 lug if u're getting them for s13

i don't think you can fit those wheels with either offsests without a roll/pull.

i know im getting 17x9 in the back and 17x8 in the front, but just deciding on what offsets.
i've searched a lot, and 35 seems pretty close to flush, so i will probably be getting the 17x9 +27 for the rear. for the front, probably 17x8 +28
so, question is. since these are a replica of the gram lights 57s, how will brake/coilover clearance flushness be... need opinions.
17x8 +28 w/ 215/40/17 front
17x9 +27 w/ 225/40/17 rear
s13 hatch with megan racing coilovers and s15 brake conversion in front 5 lug as well.
pretty sure about the rear setup, not so sure about the front, opinions please

im not looking to pull anything, nothing is rolled, but i could ghetto-roll it.

aren't you ryan's friend? if so, and your car is still primered you should at least roll your fenders to have more freedom with camber adjustments. i'm pretty sure you'll rub. pm heartwork... he does a good job and it's pretty cheap. i had 16x7.5 +27 with a 235 up front and they were flush, so with a smaller tire it'll be about the same.

aaron! You fail. :D you know i have those same wheels. and they are 7 spoked like the weds sa90 / GL 57S, not 6 like the TE's.

damn, no feedback on the offsets yet.
Here you go:
17x8 +28 w/ 215/40/17 front
17x9 +27 w/ 225/40/17 rear
No. 17X9, +27 all around, with 225/45-17 on all 4.
Fit's nice, looks nice, easy to fit...better handling balance.
S13's understeer badly stock...why exagerate this wtih less grip up front?
Plus, that way you can rotate, increase tire life.

the MB Motorsports weapon isn't a copy of the Gram Light 57S, it's a copy of the WedsSport SA90. The spokes on the 57S are more straight, if you can picture that.
Also, the MB Motorsports don't come in as sunken a style as the 57S does with Face-2.
For $128 a rim, the MB rims are a steal

Ahhhh! Now I see

Anyways, I ordered a set of the 17x9 +27, see if they'll clear coils in the front, with 235 40 17 tires. if they do, then i'll have to find somethin wider for the rears. if they dont, then they go in the back :P
got s13?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but the sunkeness look of a rim is a direct result of the width and offset of the rim and not so much the design of the rim.........
Some rims are just advertised with different offsets.
For instance a 18x9+17 will look more sunk than a 18x8+17 by a 1/2inch because you divide the width over the centerline of the rim, correct?
and a 18x10+45 will look gay with no kinda lip at all?
so the smaller the +## the deeper the mounting point moves towards the center of the rim which produces that sunken look alot of people like.

Different manufacturers have different approaches.
With the FN01RC's Sunken spokes only come on 17x10's, and the rest are the same straight, flat spokes with different machining on the center section.
With the TE37, however, there are Optional Faces, Face 1 which is flat and Face 2 which is sunken.
obviously, narrow and high offset rims are less likely to be available with the sunken spoke, as the "sunkenness" is , as you say, something that comes with lower offset and wider width.
The tradeoff between , say, a 17x9 +12 TE37 (not sure if thats a real size) in Face-1 and Face-2 would be that Face 1 has flat spokes but a larger lip, Face 2 would have less lip but sunken spokes.
more sunken = less lip usually...unless you're running like a 17x9.5 +5 or something, and you can have lip and sunken spokes...i've seen some te37's like that but I don't have a pic.

i'll try n post a pic of the rims that i got tomorrow because digicam only works good durin the day. stupid camera phone.
the mb motoring rims that i have get more sunk, the more wider your rim gets.
im pretty sure the 17x9 +17 and the 17x9 +27 are going to have the same amount of sunk tho...
i wont be able to compare becuase i only have the 17x9+27, and the otherset that im getting is going to be the 17x8 +28. lowest 17x8 offset they have.

If they had a more sunken face on the Weapon, i'd be all over them too....i just...don't quite like how they look on an S14 otherwise. Either more sink or more lip...
Or if they had a 17x8 +9 or somethin
