hmmmmmm. the hook up will depend mostly on the quality of tire.

I would even run 265's on the rear. I dont know what will clear the front on an s14 though. Iam going to be running 245 on 8''

That's exactly what I'm running right now. 245/40/18 on 8" +32 front and 265/35/18 on 9" +35 rear. It could use some spacers to flush it up, but it's a big step up from the 225/50/16 on stock SE wheels I was running. Where the old combo was howling and sliding, the new setup is just beginning to squeal without actually sliding.

I have a 17by 9 on the front and I like the 215/40/17 for the front.

255's i have the same rims, fn01r-c? 255's have a very slight strech, but fit pretty flush.

did u do any body mods to fit those wide tires?
lets get the adjectives right :) 255s arent wide...
and no i dont think any bodymods are needed, my friend runs 255s on his S13 coupe with springs/shocks and he didnt do any fender rolling/bending

Will 245/45's fit on a 17x9 +15 FN01R-c's with a 15mm flare in the front??? Stretching and camber will be done. I'm just wondering if they will fit or not.

yea, those should fit. Ive got a 7.5 in front with a 225 on it for my s13 and s14s have WAY more fender room. Esepcially with an offset that low, you should be fine. 245 up front, and 255out back. (ive got 245s on my 8.5 rears, and it sits 'flush' on the tire, no real stretching)

so... after reading this... i still dont have an exact idea of what size tires i should go with. i too have a set of 17x9 +15offset FN01RCs thats coming in. i was wondering if anyone else that had those wheels or knows anything about them and how they would fit on a s14. what size tires i should stretch on them. whatever i have to do without having to get flared fenders. i really want that "agressive" look. thanks!

215/45/17 works. I've seen them on 17x9 +5 R33 GTR wheels. They are stretched but not too much, they require slight fender rolling.

It depends if you want to stretch the tires, mess with the fenders, and run aggressive alignment, or go with more stockish alignment and stock fenders. Without tons of camber or pulled front fenders I think it would be very hard to fit a proper sized tire on a 9" wide wheel...I know of someone who did 17x9 +25 with 245/40, but thats about the maximum I would say. It looks like you're going for the drifter setup so maybe 235/40?
And 245/45 isn't a very good tire for the 240sx...too tall compared to stock.

Ooops my mistake, I missed the part about an RB. You should go with 255/40/17 for the rear and maybe a 245 or 235 for the front. The 215s and RB are not going to give you enough traction.

215/40/17 for the fronts and 245/40/17 for the rears.... how about that? and stretching can be done on any brand/type/model tire? whats the most preferred tire(s) to do so? if anyone can tell me.
i figured i'd have to roll my fenders front and rear... i just didnt wanna have to do that too much. i plan on definitely cambering the front so they fit. just cause i dont want to go with fender flares. the rears i'll try to roll/pull that as much as i can.

Use 265 or 275 rear if you're slipping already - those sizes are good for 9inch width rims. Fronts I think 245 is tops. :)
