I just bought some big brakes from Arizona Z Car (http://www.arizonazcar.com/240sxbrakes.html) . I think for the money they are a steal including you can get the 5 lug hubs from them for next to nothing as well as getting the rear brakes. You get Wilwood 6 piston aluminum calipers as well as 13" rotors stainless lines and all brackets and fittings and pads. I just thought since I was building my car for ultimate street car challenge I would get the best deal. What do you guys think of their brakes and their suspension setup. Am I the only one willing to try to do a different setup on my brakes, that I went with their products? Any one run their stuff before? Next on order will be the coilovers from them. They also told me not to order the Z32 big brake kit as I would get better results with the S13 Kit. My Logic was to buy the bigger brakes from the Z because I wanted a bigger rotor, but shoot with 6 piston calipers and 13" rotors that will be more than enough. Considering to get the in cabin porportioning valve but will see how they behave with stock porportioning valve. Lemme know what you guys think.

Looks good. If you have a chance once you get em I'd like to see more detailed pics of the kit, particularly the rotor hat. I still don't get how they use such a large rotor hat offset without hitting the suspension.

Yeah that was one of my concerns with the kit but they assured me they fit the same as the stoptech kits and clearance for coilovers and wheels will be minimal though so we will have to see how it reacts with my current wheels (Q45) wheels. If they fit, well and great if not it looks like I will have to get some new wheels.

you will likely need a larger MC. It depends on the piston diameter. Can you measure the diameter of the pistons in the calipers, and post them here? that would be good info. Also exact diameter of the rotors. (both in mm)

If you want the best performing brake setup, a new brake pedal with bias bar would be best, but somewhat complicated to setup. Not that great for street use either since they have linear proportioning. Great for the track though since you can easily adjust bias while on track.

I used to know a guy with an SE-R cup car that had a similar upgrade, and he ended up getting a larger MC, and gutting the stock proportioning valve, and then installed a new prop. valve in the cabin. worked very well. Just takes a little time to tune it properly.

They barely listed any information about the coilovers, kind of makes me sketch on them. Did you get any other info out of them by chance?

No they are kinda iffy on the coilovers because they are still "under final testing." But according to them they will not need an aftermarket MC it will work fine. But the true test of time will be the feel and fit. have to get the porportioning valve and the hydraulic line lock as it will not have a handbrake. Oh will see soon. Damn UPS guy needs to hurry up ASAP or I will kick his arse up and down the street all day.

I saw those coilovers in person at SEMA last year...no personal experience but I wasn't too impressed by the booth (or lack thereof) and it was being distributed by an importing company of some sort...I could dig up their business card somewhere if I had to....

From what I could tell they are "Taiwan specials"...you get what you pay for IMO....

Also what is the durability of Wilwood calipers? I have heard it said somewhere that they need frequent rebuilding for some reason?
