Twitchy's 2 cents on underground 2

SO I finally had time to play a video game last night and i got NFSU2....I didnt like the first underground, but i do love EA and NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 is my favorite game ever.

Underground 2 had all the usual eye candy, blurr effects, gadgets and whatnot you would expect, but i was blown away by how totally real the engines sounded! I was driving the 350Z, and the GTO and especially on the GTO....wow. I just found myself turning off the music and listening to the engine noises all night!!

I cant wait for the next hot pursuit sequel (I hope)

cause hopefully they will have all kinds of great new "supercars" with the engine sounds caputured equally as well

I agree with you 100%. THey captured those engine revvs very well. CIvic sounds like a civic, 350 sounds like a 350, it insane!!!

I am not in agreement with you on your assessment of previous NFS games, I have liked them ALL in their own special little way, even if how I liked them has waned in the years to pass since their release, I own ALL of the need for speed games... I do, however, agree with the review of underground 2, the engines actually sound like someone went to the trouble of modding these cars and having them recorded in ANY situation the game would see, right down to how "hard" the BOV would "blow off," the game was so fun to me, I started playing it about a week after I bought it and beat the whole damn thing, playing it after work and on weekends, in about 2 weeks... Steeles has my copy now, bastard

I think this game was 10 times better than the first. Not so much the bodykits and whatnot, but the gameplay, and the ability to put individual parts on a car is pretty cool too. I made a civic totally riced out with the Biggest single tip muffler and an intake. It sounds so ricey I drive it all the time and laugh. But yeah, the engine sounds are cool, same with the BOV.

You should already have the Evo if you have the GT, that or your really close to getting it. I can't remember when I got the STi...

One thing I think they can do better on was the BOV sounds. I like the sound of the 240's BOV cause the supra BOV sucks...LOL other than that the sounds :rawk:

I forgot to want another car on the game once I had the Audi A3, until I had beat the game, then I was simply out beating the shit outta the skreet ricers and getting all the other cars and not using them
