hey all, I am ready to purchase a bodykit for my 240sx hatch. I am torn between the DRFT 180sx kit or the versoin select type 2 or 3 kits for the 180sx. any opinions on these? what is the quality of the version select kits compared to cwest (drft)?
They are both about evenly priced, so that is not a problem. I just wounder about the wait time to get the drft kit here since i hear motorex has their heads up their you know whats all the time.
here is another thing to think about; which would look better in a pearl white paintjob, with a black roof?
thanks,
g

same price? You sure about that? Or are you looking at a fake DRFT kit by raceonusa or something? They should both fit fine if its a real DRFT kit (but it shouldnt be that price).

its $860 on motorex's site for the drft front and sides. remeber the drft kit does not have a rear bumper. i will have to get some kind or rear lip for it but no i am looking for the real drft not the fake one

maybe you should go buy a honda i hear they're real creative at hondatech. we don't like to think outside of the box. we just drift ALL the time and thats all we ever do. yep, SR20's and body kits. that's all we do here.

OK, for starters you are not going to get him Banned. Second, Makoto back off a little. Now if you want a kit for your 240, so be it., But just because someone doesn't share your vision, don't start throwing out idle threats.
Now will someone with actual experience with either of these kits please add some input.

yea thats what i hear everyone likes Version select. I realy like their type 3 kit. also, the reason i am going looks b4 go is because i was very lucky to get a 240sx with extremely low miles, which to me, does not consitute a reason to swap my motor, besides i am content with the motor at the moment. also i dont have enough money to get a full swap but i do have enough for exterior mods which i will do

iwishiwas-all*, I'd suggest you hold back on the attitude if you expect any help on Zilvia. Now I stepped in to help you out, but that doesn't mean I won't hesitate to slam you if you get out of line.

not sure if motorex still has any in stock. you may want to call them first (310) 523-2233. pretty soon they wont be carrying any c-west stuff i believe once what they have in stock are gone. i have a set though that i may sell in the near future. its the drft front bumper and side skirts along with the canards and headlight intake vent. it'll be for sale if my friend can get me the full bn sports sponsorship. oh yeah, i also have a rear bumper (dont know what brand) thats polyurethane so it flexes just like stock. that'll be for sale as well. keep an eye out in the for sale forums if i ever do decide to sell it.

My car got into an accident (Not my fault). And the insurance company pretty much paided for my kit.
I got the V::S Version 3. If you get this kit, you may want to upgrade to a nice set of wheels to match.
That's what i did for my Kouki S14.

version select, because the DRFT aero dont look so good compared to version select aero...I also hear versionselect is close to perfect fitment.
but if anything, you should decide...not so nice or nice, becuase its your car...Im not really digging how someone wants other people to pick the aero for your car....but its pretty obvious with those two compared to each other :faint:

also, the reason i am going looks b4 go is because i was very lucky to get a 240sx with extremely low miles, which to me, does not consitute a reason to swap my motor
why would you wanna swap out engines at all? since you have a low miles engine you can just turbo it...
dont say its a shitty truck engine either...
my buddys sr with 14psi said my TQ was better than his... and im still N/A
oh yeah.. the VS kit fiits awesome..
KoukiMonster
01-17-2005, 07:34 PM
but if you don't swap the engine you won't be getting the magical powers of the sr.
you want the magical powers don't you? sure you do son, sure you do.

Version Select is nothing but a cheap imitation of good quality kits. the problem with replica kits they always need modification to make fit and most are not predrilled

and the REAL thing also needs modifications and trimming....
the V:S kits are not pre-drilled....saves the company time, and you can get it to fit to YOUR liking....

Its better, not predrilled, because it lets you pick where you want to drill...which helps in the fitment.

Why are all you dumb bitches complaining about him wanting Aero. Saying aero is only for show cars? I was just reminded why I don't post here. Zilvia.net is a very good website with dumb shit poser posters. This place needs an automatic shit seperator cause this is Bullshit.
Back on topic: Get your aero, Version Select is a good deal and takes a beating. I have the Type-II vertex knock off for my car, just waiting for paint. But if you get it, slam the car to the floor and don't worry what happens to the aero.
Show Car? HA!!! Pussies!

dont have one but put one on my friends car, other than predrilling holes it was simple. Also have seen quite a few cars in person with the kit on, fit perfectly fine.
