What do you guys think of this look? I was considering painting the canards but not sure.. I kinda like the exposed look...

As long as it is on a Kouki. It is too sharp and square for a Zenki.

Just my two cents.

i say paint it. if the car was black or maybe white you'd get away with it but green is a stretch.

Looks hot. I really like that, its pretty clean, but you'd hafta paint it. I love carbon fiber, but on the exterior the only unpainted part I like is a hood.

Get it/paint it.

If you're going to paint a c/f wing, whats the point? Just get a fiberglass one, which is undoubtedly cheaper. Furthermore, it's highly unlikely that's real CF, and it's not as if you save weight on a a CF k's wing versus a normal K's wing...

Now if you just want to paint the ends, that might be hotness.

I'm thinking adding CF hood and black wheels will offset it...

I say paint the sides of it AT LEAST.

Nah.... why paint it? once the black wheels and the CF hood it'll look nice...

I agree... There are lots of cars with unpainted wings and personally, I like the way it looks. Once the wheels, and hood are in place, it'll blend for a nice two tone look...

How much did it actually weigh? I'm sure it wasn't much of a difference compared to the fiberglass but it's the look you wanted anyways. I might paint 90% of my CF Nismo spoiler, leaving the bottom unpainted perhaps. CF is pretty but it's hard to keep a car clean w/ it. Since your car is dark, it's OK.

so is that to help you fly? anythhing bigger than a lip on a non race/track car is hideous

the wing looks like butt... reminds me of a evo... if it was on a evo it would look nice...

would look better with a CF trunk

still wouldn't look right: green - black combo is not always the best.

Paint the ends, leave the middle black, if you want. But, eh....

Honestly mate, you can hardly tell the color difference from a distance and when you get close to the car, the weave is so nice to look at that it would almost be sacreligious to cover it up with paint. I'm not a big fan a huge clashes in color ie. Yellow cars with CF parts. It just stands out too much for my taste. I was going for a non-stock yet clean look and I think I've got that... Once I can find a CF hood that's exactly like the stock one and good quality, that should really finalize the look I'm after... Any suggestions?

heres my .02, paint the sides of it, get a front lip, wheels and lower the car, untill then its just going to look out of place

I feel the same way.

It just looks like useless ornamentation and totally throws off the overall flow of the car. You NEED a front lip and wheels.

Vis hoods are good-2-go, prices start around $285 off ebay...

I think you should get some wheels/tires first though. You need to compliment the aggresive look of the wing.

Those have to be the rarest wheels I have ever seen, I have never even seen them on a 240sx before!

I'm an ass

Anyways, I'd paint the entire wing, but if you really want to see the CF bling then just paint the ends... I just got a CF hood and I want to paint it stock soon.

You know whats really rare? People painting carbon fiber. IMO when i see a hood or whatever thats cf and is painted i think that is so hard ass. Like wow that guy doesnt give a shit if people know or not. Thats awesome. But i see where you'd want people to know you spent the cash so.....if that's what your into then don't paint it.

I always forget that your car has to be so low you can barely drive it. Dang! Now I have to go outside and drop mine some more. I think it would be hot with the the painted sides carbon middle. Evo what?

ok here's my .02

carbon fiber hood has actual function...so painting it is not stupid...i mean, it lightens up the front end, which is what we're looking for out of a CF hood...maybe looks

carbon fiber wing? that is stupid to paint...i mean, look at it, it's a show piece

I happen to like the green/black combo going on with my car. :)

As for the wing...your asking for my opinion and plan and simple...I will tell you I don't like it (unless the sides were painted). I also think its a waste of money since the weight reduction is not significant compare to fiberglass. JDM Zenki sides, Kouki rear bumper, rear valence and USDM front lip would finish the car off nicely IMO.

Sheeiitttt..... CF hood, CF Trunk, keep the spoiler. Don't paint it!!!!

I'm not sure how a CF front bumper would hold up to being daily driven. It seems that it would chip fairly easily...

can i ask where you got that wing? I got a black 240 and it'll save me money if i just leave the wing like that :)

Just throwing my opinion in, I, too would paint the endplates and rock the center and inside edges natural, Evo style. I just think the wing looks nice like that.

ilike it looks good.without a doubt it'd look better if car was black or had CF trunk but overall it's hot
