yup... the engine cranks, but doesn't start. its a ka and should have about 90k miles on it. swapped in at the same time with an auto-manual convert. starter pin isn't loose and the battery's charged. so far i think my options are either the: flywheel, distributor, fuel filter?... im not sure, but has anyone else had similar problems?

It should be your starter if your battery is charged, unless its your alternator. there is a slight chance it might be a glitch in the fuel system but i doubt it.

Also check your spark plugs. but check your starter first. Im pretty sure its that.

if it was your distributor, i dont think your car would even crank at all because it wouldnt have any electricity to start off with. so i dotn think you gotta worry about that.

definately not your flywheel.

but if it was the starter..it also wouldn't crank, i've had one starter die on me before with the previous engine so i dont think its that either

If your engine cranks, its unlikely that its your starter. check your distributor/plug wires/plugs, then check your fuel system. When you set the key to on, do you hear the pump priming the system? Is your filter flowing? How was your engine running before it shit out on you?
