I'm interested in wrapping my entire Blitz cat back. Simply for the purpose of protecting the finish from salty ass roads here in Chicago.

Now AutoBarn.com has the Thermo-tec (silicone coating and straps optional) and Summitt Racing has DEI Wrap (silicone coating and straps optional).

The prices are both relatively the same, but I just wanted to check up with you guys and see if there have been any problems with either of these 2.

Also, the silicone spray on coating comes in silver and in black (DEI and Thermo-Tec alike). Does anyone know what they look like after being sprayed? Pics maybe? :wavey:

Let me know.

salt water will stil get through the heat wrap... there is no point of heatwrapping your whole catback.

That stuff sucks.
It crystalizes metal and will make it brittle.
I did that to a few ex manifolds, and had to learn the hard way.

Its not really meant for the cat back form what I understand.
Its more for the headers/exhaust mani.
My old school hot-rod friends used to do it, but I don't thinks its worth the effort.
