Anyways I find when I shut off my car my power antenna is dangling and broken :tweak:. I dont know how the hell that happened especially since it retracts and I only drove to the store and back and found it like that at my house and not at the store. Its snapped up at the top so what options do I have about getting a new antenna? OEM Nissan? Aftermarket? Remove the whole thing get it shaved, and aftermarket antenna? This sucks, right on payday too !

The stock power antennas suck. They all eventually break.
You can replace the power antenna unit, but you're better off buying an aftermarket antenna... you can get a more modern, short fixed antenna pretty cheaply.

yeah i just dont understand how the heck it broke? highspeeds!? No way someone would have to snap it off it looked like and therefore my car would have to be on... Hmm I'm puzzled, might as well start looking tomorrow then for a replacement.

I heard they had a recent attack of Antenna Gnomes in Oregon. Maybe you should look into it. I shaved my antenna, but now I'm putting it back 'cause I'm tired of not getting reception.

You can buy the mast for less than $40 at the dealer, takes less than a minute to replace it.
For the people looking for a power antenna, any 93-97 Altima antenna will drop right in with just a little creative work on the bracket. Easy three wire hookup.
