Yes, the mirrors are not on the car. They are getting painted black like the roof. Should have them back on Sat.

Yes, the door handles are also missing. Also being painted and should be back on Sat. They will be the same color as the body.

Good deal.
Which manifold?? Intake or turbo??
I have two intake manifolds going together right now. The flange is at the CNC shop getting machined down to reduce weight and look pimp. I can have a turbo manifold ready in about three weeks from when its ordered. The web page is being updated right now to show the new turbo mani with schedual 10 SS. Its pretty bad ass if I do say so myself. If you go to the project car section of the web site, you can see it in action.

It goes on the street every once in a while now. When its done, it will be out there a lot more. I hope to catch a few races here and there. I already have some races locked in for Real Street Drags this spring.

EXCELLENT!
What is the weight on that thing? It looks like it will be a VERY fun ride.
the question REALLy is...how many wheels are touching the ground during the 60'? lol

The fenders look too wide for the S15 front end. Other than that everything flows pretty well.

Those fenders are used S15 fenders and stock S14 fenders cut and welded together by Steeve's Auto Body in Shaumburg IL. The paint was done by my buddy Bill Hagerty at D&S Auto Body in Addison IL.

is that the spec r grill? It kinda does but the part where the grill used to be look is not covered like the spec r type.
IvanAtSPRacing

In the fog lamp pockets, yes, those are factory S15 Silvia spec R grills. The drivers side one is open in one area from the factory. I assume to cool something. When I get the inner fender pannels on, you wont see thru the grill anymore.

Ivan:
The car looks very clean :) Is the interior stripped? I'm wondering how much closer the car will get to 2,000lbs... hehe nasty fast.

I'd qualify for every rule for that class but looking at what's allowed probably wouldn't be competitive. at least not until my "diet" this time next year.
At least for this buildup, I'm building it for sportsman turbo 4 rules, which look like I can't run my electric water pump anymore.

The interior is in the car (in a lightened way). I eliminated all the HVAC components, all the stereo components, all the factory safety belts, most of the sound deadening, removed the passenger air bag and replaced the steering wheel / air bag with a lighter weight steering wheel only, I removed the folding mechanism from the back seat, replaced the factory seats with lighter weight Corbeau Forzas, the front and rear bumper supports are removed, the hood is carbon fiber, wheel and tire combo is fairly light, front sway bar is out, windshield wiper motor / transmission / fluid resivoir / and arms are removed, AC compressor / condensor / lines / etc are all removed, exhaust was replaced with Greddy Ti exhaust, everything in the trunk has been removed, light weight racing battery.... Thats what I remember off the top of my head.
I added a full NHRA certified cage, window net, parachute / mount / release, fuel cell so far.
I dont know how much weight will be saved or gained with the swap from NA to turbo. I have a liquid IC still to install. A racing fuel pump and lines still need to be installed. I believe my new trans will weigh a bit more then the current one especially with a large trans cooler. I also need to weld in a trunk floor and fuel tank shield under the car. I need to put a firewall behind the back seat and in the package tray area. The batter has yet to be relocated to the rear so add the battery cables and the cut off switch to the weight total.
I still need to remove the factory fuel tank, sending unit, pump and lines. I am also going to be removing the power steering.
I will be happy if the car weighs 2400lbs full of gas and ready to race.
In reserve, I can still remove all the plastic behind the front seats, the passenger seat and 5 point harness, and the back seat and will still be legal for Turbo 4 NDRA. But I cant imagine those could total 50lbs.
I am hoping the car can 60ft like an MKIV Supra and with a race weight of 2600lbs (with me in the drivers seat) and 650whp, it should run well in the 9s

Thank you very much.
I am sponsored by nobody. Actually, I am building this car with money out of my own pocket. I will promote www.phatka-t.com obviously and Sound Performance (the shop I manage) and will have to have contingency stickers on the car to make it worth the trips to the NDRA events. I will try to keep it clean looking.
