OBDII code scanner??

Looking to buy an OBDII code scanner and was wondering if anyone has any info on the better ones preferably one that reads codes from Japanese, domestic and european manufacturers.

I know you can borrow code readers from Autozone and Kragen

i have one. it works great. it tells you what code(s) you are throwing and gives you the option of erasing the codes to get rid of the CEL.
