well its cool they're out practicing.... hopefully we'll see more drivers from hawaii in future events...

that FD is hypersports project car, but damn looks like the driver needs a lot more track time in it lol

Watched the first 2 so far and haven't seen one drift actually made. What's the point in spending so much to modify your car if you can't even drive it correctly? I swear, some people will die if they keep their car's stock.

Fixed the link; all vids should work now.

Just thought we'd share some videos from home. Too bad everyone can't be a "pro" drifter from the very start, right?

Doesn't anyone else have videos to post of themselves or their friends at local drift events in their cities? I'd be nice to see how our "shitty" driving compares to everyone else. At least that way we'll know for sure. haha

Maybe they should get a feel for their car and learn to drive it, THEN change what needs improvement instead of buying all this stuff and not even be able to drift it.

it does
but just as any other place, there are not so gret ones tooo
its like saying japan has all good drifters
but no one starts as expert
and im sure many of the 'best' from hawaii arent on those vids

oh ok cool...judging by the fact that they were all painted up nice and people were taking picturse of them in one video, i figured they were supposed to be "good" drifters

sweet... i've been to the HRP couple times... i think the last time i went was when drifter X and XL came down with their S13.5's. that was pretty sweet. trust me guys there are better ones in hawaii. the only problem now is that there are so many cops that are out to get them... it's just damn crazy to even think about doing it outside of tracks.

I've been on my friend's pro5 up tantalus... he does sum pretty good shit even with a FF.

oh btw this would be my first post... jus saying what's up to everyone... looks like a pretty sweet forum. nice to meet ya.

wow.. lot of haters.

all shimos is showing is some vids of hawaiis drift events. the hypersports events (first 2 videos) is a private event where only a handful of people are invited. prob. mostly people from the shop. I give them props for going out and practicing.

thebestof2004 vid is a good video. does show some of the hawaiis best..including barry (who qualified for d1 - black s13 hatch), braden(red s14.5) and forest(tanish s13coupe). id like to see some of you guys drift with guardraiils on both sides or hit a tight sweeper with tires on one side and guardrails on the other at 70+mph.

imo, there are at least 10 guys here that will qualify and are able to compete any given day in the us d1. two have made it. some are just waiting. and most are just out to have fun.

Good videos.

Now, it looks like a lot of guys are taking the time to practice. Which is cool.

And then the last one, you guys start doing that sh!t on the street. Thats just plain stupid. Please. Don't ever do that sh!t again. In the third video, one guy even flips his car. What would have happened if that black car had flipped on the public road? Not only would tickets be handed out, but you'd back up the traffic and cause other people misery. Just not worth it.

And God forbid if someone had been coming on the merge ramp when that guy pulled that crap.

its just not smart.

But, other than that [rant].... I like the idea of practicing in a controlled environment. Keep learning yoru cars.
