Hello. I am looking into buying a 240SX that I found, and I got the seller to e-mail me the VIN number. He also sent a number he called the model code. He said that is describes all the options that were installed at the dealer. The code is GBGALTFS14EV4AA is there any good place on the web to decode that? The car is supposed to have LSD, ABS, all the goodies. Thanks.

It's not that I don't believe him it's that I just want to know what everything is... he said that he thought he found a decoder or key on 240sx.net but I couldn't find one, there has to be an answer. Doesn't anyone in here have a shop manual? I know there are always VIN decoders in there, there must be a model decoder also.. thanks.

It's a SE, 5 spd.
You need the 16th, 17th, 18th digits to complete the Model ID, so that you will know if it has ABS, LSD, sunroof..........etc.
Also, you need the production date of the car in order to decode it correctly.
Go to fatmanracing.tripod.com -> S14 area -> Model ID

Hope this helps.
