does anyone know of a good engine installer in san diego or palm springs. i'm looking for some help on installing an RB20DET if at all possible, if not i'll settle for the SR like everyone else, i know there's people to do the SR, but i can't find anyone to do an RB, most people don't even know what the RB is. any help is appreciated

get in contact with Grumpy from the forums...or you can just look up McKinney Motorsports (http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com)...they are in or near San Diego...i'd also go with the SR swap...the support for RB parts in San Diego/Palm Springs (as well as the rest of the country) is very limited and you would probably have to ordered parts straight from Japan...which would increase your down time if you ever had a problem...ya heard!

I agree with Arcane, McKinney Motorsports is one of the best shops around and have alot of experiance with RB's if you go that route.

i thought i could get alyl more outta the RB compared to the SR, actually i might even end up with a CA, all depends on what i can find in my time left in japan. but if finding parts is the only downfall for the RB, that's not biggy cuz i lived in japan for most my life and i have a few friends that will still be around here to send me parts whenever i need them. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> but thanks for the inquiry, if u can gimme another reason why not to go RB, i'll be more than interested, or how bout RB compared to CA???

that's pretty crazy, i was here when u were but still young as hell. for the teachers, mr. forest is still around, as is mr. smith the art teacher, mr. schulte for math, mr. price for science, that government teacher u were talking about is out, i never had him. lots of stuff has changed. when i was going to school everyone went clubbing at roppongi and yokohama. everytime we drank at the parks and had parties, the cops would stop by cuz someone would be lighting fireworks. man, for awhile zama was conquering everyone in sports, no one could hold us. the only team my class had problems with was yokosuka, we beat the shyt outta yokota for homecoming like 64-12, and the score was 42-0 at halftime, coach wanted to take it easy. the only 2 old guys that i know of working the hobby shop are Ito and Matsumoto san, he's the guy that has the paint booth in the back.
man, it's a pretty small world, i'll email u about the swap soon
take it easy
