These two are actually unique, as I have never seen designs quite like them.

This (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33591&item=7945517915&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) one "strengthens under the transmission, and probably acts much like a skidplate (for speedbumps at least) as well. It looks beefier than the HKS Kansai piece, at a much lower price.
This (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33591&item=7945517917&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) one, I'm not quite sure about. The small picture they provide is kinda confusing, but it mounts across the wheelwell, behind the coilover.

Anyone have any speculation as to the functionality of these pieces?

What the...? Why do people try to brace all this random shit? haha.

The first one looks heavy, and crappy, and I can't figure out why you'd need more rigidity there.

The second one makes some sense, but I'd rather use a fender brace.

Those are both replicas of old DSpeed products. projectnissan used to carry them years ago, but they were much more expensive back then.

Looks interesting and I wonder if anyone has used those before.

The first brace looks like it would b effective at reducing twist in the chassis. definately a good thing for turn-in response. quite interesting...

I thought about the second one, and it doesn't look like it'd be as effective as the Nam's fenderbraces, but the first one looks friggin' stout!

If only I had the cash lying around...

That first brace doesnt look too bad. Should ask the seller to add close up pics of the welds and everything else. Got me interested in one, thanks a lot ass.

here are some pics of brace number 2 mounted on my car..
I've had em on for about a year and I noticed some increase in stiffness when I first put them on while going over bumps, for the price I paid for them(under 100) i feel they were worth it. You definately need coilovers when using them though..since a regular spring/shock combo won't clear them.

Just tube frame the front already. It would probably cost less than a million goofy braces.

the first brace looks like what a lot of mustangs guys run. It's incorporated into the subframe connectors and on the mustang, connects the subframes together. Thank god we have full frame rails or else we'd all be sporting these. i think the first brace is kinda cool. i'm interested.

Someone needs to buy the first brace and let us know how it is.

wouldnt that second one do the same thing as a strut tower bar?

wouldnt that second one do the same thing as a strut tower bar?

Sort of, but an STB supports against lateral movement across the top of the tower, the lower sheetmetal between the framerails still can buckle/twist under load.

If you've ever cut up an S chassis you'll know that the lower sheetmetal is paper thin and cuts like butter.

Nope, not a double post.

I want those things, but I want someone else with more disposable income to try them out for me first, heh...
