It's not that great. I did it very quickly. And I just started drawing cars a year or so ago. :goyou: I perticularly like the front fender and rear wide fender and the b-pillar shape... :cj:

If its supposed to be a better looking version of the rumored 240sx concept car or whatever that thing is, then I like it! Definately a lot nicer than that haha!

01-09-2005, 10:21 AM
WOW, thanks for some of the positive comments. And the rest of you :fawkd: JK.

What I meant is it's what I would like a new 240, 25, or whatever it would be to look like. I hate the front end o it too. I was more just focusing on the fenders and the over all shape of the car. I could redraw it and get more detailed I guess.

Oh and I AM taking art classes, well kinda, I just went back to college(at 25), but I'm going to be focusing on computer animation and multimedia. My no #1 love in life is cars. But I never drew'em until recently. I don't know why. Their harder to draw in my opinon compared to people or organic things.

o240isxf0304: I have no clue what french curves are :tweak:

No, It looks like a Von dutch style drawing. All you need is a little Rat inside driving the car. Nice drawing though. Looks alot like a ferrari to me. Not a lambo.. Lambo's have a much more rounder body.

Ok, here is my concept, it's got a heavy S14 Kouki/ S15 front end influence with the RPS13 Hatch type end (trying to combine the most popular parts of the Silvias over the years to make a likely S16). What does everyone think?

dorifto the rear confuses me. also, did you use illustrator?

Photoshop and Wacom tablet + stylus. This was supposed to be a car for 2012, that's how it works, cars are usually designed 8-10 years before production... anyways, the rear roof form was derived from Sydney Opera House (whole car was "insipred by modern architectural form language"). Its not supposed to be a tame, mainstream production car project. Even my car with the pretty classic (Since the 60's) proportions of long hood and short rear were a little "tame" said the teacher. But since I "executed it so well and it looks cool, I don't care about the classic proportions." Haha ok cool, I like them too. Bahaha.

wanganwonder
01-11-2005, 08:58 PM
i just meant does the rear have 2 crest-ish flourishes? the top one looks opaque. i imagine this is what the sydney-inspired part of the car is. if you're using modern architecture for inspiration, try the experience music project.

oh wait- never mind. then the car would look like a pile of shit, too.

glad your teacher liked it.

A slightly less agressive front bumper and I think you may have a winner there ExitSpeed. Maybe a different hood too, something not-so-Celica-ish perhaps. Just my constructive critisism. :D

zeek
01-14-2005, 08:10 PM
tweek the lights out some more , less negative space in the front bumper, flatten out the hood slightly were it meets the fenders, maybe some projector fogs (like on vettes) and a front lip, Then you got a winner.. :P

Phlip
01-14-2005, 08:30 PM

Then we shall try my own reason:
"I wanna draw one, but I realized that I can't fuckin draw"
... is that better?

now this one is very nice, resembles 350z more than s-chassis though
At which point you flatten out some lines, and make the car a little smaller *poof* you have an S-chassis, it worked for nissan

Frappe
01-15-2005, 09:10 AM
ExitSpeed - I like that one. Ditto on the hood, loose that center rise and it'd be perfect! Maybe straighten the B pillar, and (I'm assuming this is just a drawing mistake) make the passenger mirror match the driver's (pointy-ish, streamlined)
