Laying some ground work for the footworks, looking at the Function coilovers as a candidate. The project is oriented for Autocross use...
Im looking for a solid component to build off and that works well in a variety of track styles...

buttnugget :P how pretty these are isnt going to help my lateral G's or laptimes! j/p
The whole Zeal lineup is really "attractive" though...
Im looking at Endless brakes as well, but I need to compare some numbers and the likes. I dont want to buy a name, I want to buy performance.

Zeal are good coilovers. As are the Cusco Zero2s. For a cheaper solution that works I could recommend Konis and ground control coilovers. I have run this setup for two years with great results. Get the konis revalved one stage higher to control the spring rates you are going to want to run and have the rears made externally adjustable. Even after doing this and buying camber plates you will come out cheaper than Zeals.
Endless brakes look really good. Their prices are comparable to StopTech. I personally feel that stoptech is a superior brake caliper with much more stiffness than many other manufacturers.

Super Function is designed to be a track use coilover.
the spring rates are VERY high, probably the highest you can find for "out of the box" coilovers for our cars. 10/8 is what they are.
your car will stay flat and will respond like a go kart.
i would HIGHLY recommend them. they are a dream on a nice track.

On a nice track yes I'm sure they are great. I personally feel those rates are too high for an autocross. Noticing that he is in the northeast I would suggest he stay with no higher than 8/6 spring rates. Most autocross courses in the northeast are quite small and twisty with rougher surfaces, especially compared to california.

OKie dokie. Since We are the North American Distributor for Endless USA. I would just like to chime in real quick.
Ok first off let us talk about Endless Brakes. Endless brakes are very lightweight. Fully forged Aluminum Calipers w/ Aluminum pistons to enable smoother movement and sharp control. Each caliper has inner Dust Seals as well for long life. With Endless brakes, they offer the end user various sizing from size of caliper to size of rotor to better match the purpose the user has set forth the car. I do not know much about the stop tech's but i do know that they are heavier than the endless brake calipers. Also Endless calipers are also a very rigid and Highly Renowned Product. With our 350z and Porsche in JGTC. Using out of factory brakes. Ie.... The brakes you are buying for your car.. Is the same setup we are using on the race cars. There is no difference.. Also. The calipers are Not painted but have an alumite finish which prevents paint from chipping/fading under the most extreme heat. Also with our brake caliper system's you also recieve Endless brake pads which are proven on track to work. Our calipers weigh from 4.71 lbs to 8 lbs for the Racing 6. We also offer rebuilding of calipers as well within the U.S.
Onto the suspension portion
Zeal makes multiple coilovers for the 240sx. They have the
1 Function Xs
2 Function X
3 Function B6
4 Function S6
5 Function V6
6 Function D
7 Super Function
All with different characteristics and traits. It is not whether which is entry level or now. All are double height adjustable and all are at least 6 way damping adjustable if not more. We build coilovers to suit each individuals function. Also w/ Endless/Zeal coilovers, They can be rebuilt and custom valved in the U.S.. Endless supports all their end-users in their motorsports campaign fully w/ support and backing as well as gathering information to better a product. With the 350z, Endless waitied over 1 year to release their coilover. Why, Because they were busy testing it while other companies just want to get their stuff out.
If you have any questions feel free to contact an authorized Endless/Zeal dealer

How the hell do I figure out what I need?!
I dont have the finiancial backing to buy a set of coilovers for 3k to find out they're too stiff for a New Jersey track. Then again, I dont want to find out the spring rates are letting me roll like a Winnebago.
Brakes? I need to stop a 89 240SX with a DOHC KA motor, one seat and 140lbs of confused me. Id love to test these coils and brakes all day long and ramble on about specs and info I could only hope too know, but at the end of the day that leaves me with slower track times, baked brake pads and a confused look on my face...
I want the absolute best for my car. I dont want to cut corners I want it to be an all our track car and its hard to find solid reviews on expensive parts due to the fact that Koni's, Tein, and JIC's are so popular and less expensive..
Someone just help me the hell out...

ok i will help you out..
#1 - What is the purpose of the car
#2 - is this a daily driver
#3 - How often does it see track days
#4 - What is your budget.
And before u even say anything...
Quite honestly.. I believe the best suspension out there right now would be the Zeal b6 in hard rates.
These are 6 way adjustable.. double height adjustable.. Monotube coilovers
and well damped for street as well as track.
