Ebay Quick Release

Wondering if anyone has tried one of the ebay quick release hubs. It looks exactly like the L2 quick release and the one that Panda Garage had on sale a couple months ago. Anyone have one? What is the quality like? Worth the money? The ebay ones go for nearly half of what shops are charging for them.

only thing i don't like about those are that the dimples on the quick release go all around the base plate.. some of the other quick releases like the NRG one can only fit one way..

problem i see with quick releases is that if 1 type floods the market, it becomes sorta useless as a theft deterent.

but if a guy was crazed enough to break in and WANT to steal your car what makes u think he'll stop at the steering wheel? Im sure he'll find a way to drive it w/o the wheel on there. Functional? Yes; i know a few people that like their wheels close to them and sit squeezed inside a bucket... it makes it really easy to take the wheel off to get out of the car. Quick releases are pretty trendy now i suppose.. but keep in mind this is connecting your hands to the car.. why skimp on the price/quality?

My friend just got one from ebay, it didnt say the brand on the auction, but when it came to the house we found out it was an nrg piece, and it only goes on the right way. He got it for $89 shipped off ebay, i paid $100 picked up for the same q.r. a few months ago.

I have one of those. I think all the Ebay ones are similar. There is a pattern that only allows it to lock in one position. Pretty good construction.

My only complaint is that they do not include horn plates so you can't use your horn at all.

the one that just came from ebay had the horn plates, comes with everything the nrg's always do from regular shops.

just look for the auctions that say K2 jdm quick release or whatever. THye are the exact copies of the NRG one .... ps. s14drftr was talking about my quick release. The auction was for an k2 or whatever and i ended up getting an NRG one. !!! SWeet ! and it was 90 shipped
