Does anyone know what body kit (or at least the front bumper) is on the Sil-Eighty in the Battle Stage of Initial D? Been looking for it for a while and can't find one close enough.

well i was bored so i popped in the dvd to check it out. hahaha
It's supposed to be the silvia aero bumper. The animation is crappy on the battle stage dvd, but on the other one, i think it was in the first stage, its clearly the aero bumper. Actually, that whole car looks like it has stock aero pieces except for the wangan wing.
yeah, yeah, i have all the initial d dvd's. so sue me. :D

Thanks for the info. And don't feel too bad about the Initial D DVDs. I actually took the time to download all of them...except for the 4th stage.

The Sileighty in Initial D has the OEM Aero bumper, as stated before.
I don't think it has the rest of the chuuki aero kit, oddly enough.

It's suppose to be the Aero bumper, but sometimes the animation makes it look more like a Kei's office. B-wave wing, no sideskirts & no rear valance

Its totally worth it to buy the DVDs. You get 3 whole origional episodes, and 3 "tricked" out episodes where all of the cars sound like fart can civics, and the japanese names are changed for stupid americans protection.
Takumi = tak
Itsuki = iggy
Ikentai = chole
Plus they add special effects like split screens and change that shitty euro beat music inital d is known for to some shit rap garbage.

aero replica... :barf:
whats wrong with the aero replica, it doesnt seem like too bad of a bumper to make copies of. I've seen a couple and look to fit fine.
maybe im wrong. i'd like to see you show me an example of 's13 silvia aero OEM replica' that looks bad.
i was thinking of doing the same thing.. its soo much cheaper

My main concern with the oem replica would be the quality of the fiberglass. I mean, is the company reputable? If its an ebay thing, chances are the fiberglass is probably pretty thin and easily breakable and probably wont fit well either. But then again, this is all speculation.
Just my $0.02 :bow:
Oh yeah, the American version initial d dvd's are totally ghey. I have the original japanese dvd's with engligh subtitles. Those are soo much better.

Or you could get them from somewhere like pacific rim where you can get the origional DVD Sets. none of this "tricked out" garbage.

Its made by Cartune so they are somewhat reputable.

hmm....reminds me of a sil-80 spotted out in Riverside. Very clean black interior(jealousy), sparco speed seat. FLEX w/EDFC. drove very nice around the local streets. being able to siffen the rear considerably before a turn was a treat. very clean too with kouki tails and off-color signal orange attempt.

I have all the original 1st and 2nd Stage Japan-release DVDs. :D My friends and I used to translate and subtitle the stuff on video tape before it got released in the US. I still can't believe I used to pay $60 for 3 episodes a disc...

After further inspection, the original aero bumper has one opening underneath the turn signal hole and the one on the front of the Sileighty (according to the pictur posted by HyperTek in this thread) has 2 openings under the turn signals.

Too bad that Initial D is actually fun to watch, even tho it's a "ricer" show.
If you take that show seriously, you have problems.
It's a TV SHOW. IT'S NOT REAL. IT'S ENTERTAINMENT.
But the bumper is real. It's basically OEM aero.

I'd have to agree, that Initial D is entertaining as hell to watch!
