i installed a new clutch this weekend and now when i press the clutch i hear a loud squealing from there. the pedal is also extremely light, but it seems to engage and disengage normally.
any ideas?

Did you put in a new bearings? Pilot and Throw out,
When I changed my clutch, I didn't chage the bearins and I get a weird kind of noise too, but if it isn't shaking or not disenganging properly you are probably fine.
It might just need some grease.
Good Luck

does it make a grinding like noise when you depress the pedal enough to cause the throw out bearing to ride against the pressure plate? if so then its your throw out bearing. did you apply white litium grease on your shaft? (no pun intended <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>)
if this doesnt apply post back with some more info and i'll see what i can think of.
also did you resurface your flywheel? it could be glazed or you could have gotten some grease on the clutch surface causeing it to squek due to the grease
hope this helps
