hmm, id like to know the weight of all the major coilovers around. I know for sure that Megan Racing are almost twice as heavy as my d2's. (Welded steel as opposed to aluminum cast)

most coilovers full sets are about 50-60 lbs.

my zeal function d's were about 40 lbs =)
it all varies.
i've only dealt w/ silkroad / tein / gp sports / zeal coilovers

other than that i have no idea as to wat weight the kts/d2/megan racing ones are.

Since I have nothing to do tomorrow, I'll weigh my KTS coilovers, and my Buddy Clubs just for sh!ts and giggles.

Megan coilovers were listed at 20 kilos shipping weight. That's not exact.. but 45 pounts would be about tops on them.

I wouldn't be surprised if KSport/D2 were 30-35 pounds. They feel a ton lighter than Megan Racings. That quote about cast aluminum vs. welded steel was mine.. from my MR review. I also said they *felt* twice as heavy as the ksports. Heavy bastards...

i would have to agree with the weight of the d2's. i've inspected some brand new s13 d2 coilovers at driftTech, and they felt like toys, very sloppy and loose and light (kind of like this chick i know, but that's another thing entirely). when i saw the likes of tein flex, jic flt2, and the cusco zero2 they felt more solidly built. 2c

I actually have a set of JICs and D2. The D2's build quality aren't bad.. actually impressive for the cost. Although their design's not without problems. Isn't being lighter a good thing? I've never heard of any coilover brackets cracking.
