Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way the remove the studs that keep the exhaust manifold in place?
As I was changing my header one of the studs got stripped and the other one comes right out with the nut and washer still intact. I have an extra set of studs, nuts and washer...but I want to know the best method to remove the existing ones.
TIA

You might want to try an extractor.

Extractor is a special drill bit with "reversed" threads. You basically drill into the stud, the teeth on the threads dig into it, then reverse the drill and it pulls the stud out.
Assuming it all goes to plan. Which it usually does not.
Anyway, as far as removing the existing studs, put two nuts on it, and loosen one of the nuts... the second nut will prevent the one you are loosening from coming off, which will result in the stud loosening instead.
Speaking of the studs.. I am about to have ARP make me some stronger studs for the exhaust manifold on RWD SR20DET as one of mine broke... anyone wanna get in with me? We can get a volume discount. ;)

Ahh okay. The second method sounds easier. So basically tighten two nuts on the stud and then try to remove the first one?

It's missing the part on how to install the stud.
If those ARP studs fits a KA block I could jump in the wagon
Going turbo and the factory studs are quite crappy.

Put the first nut on but not all the way, just enough to get the second nut on too. Then put the seconde one on and tighten it to the first nut while holding the first nut with a wrench. Then, using the first nut turn CCW to remove the stud. To put it back on use the second nut and turn CW.

They SHOULD be the same.. I'm going to mail off one of the studs to ARP and see what we come up with.
I have a extra one off a KA somewhere, I'll try and compare them.
I'll keep you guys posted. :P
