I have been told that the ka24 radiator will require some modifications (or rather the piping) to fit, and that maybe the Maxima radiator will fit better.

Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, replacement sr20 radiators?

let me know - thanks guys.

Enjuku stocks copper OEM Koyo replacements for ~$210 shipped.

The KA is a bad choice for 2 reasons: the shroud doesn't line up and the upper inlet is on the wrong side. If you can find a hose that goes something like this

rad |Z| engine

the Z being the hose, of course.

It needs to be long enough (or short enough) on the engine side to miss the fan and short enough (or long enough) on the rad side to co-exist with the IC piping... Make some measurements and then go to your local Autozone and ask to take a look at their hose aisle (it's behind the counter). That still leaves the problem of the shroud... you can try to mangle a KA one, but GL with that.

Hmm you can use the KA radiator and finding a hose to make it fit is not a problem I do have the part number lying around for napa autocenter it might be a universal part number that I am not sure of. However I would not recommend a KA radiotor because it is quite thin and since you need a radiator anyways you might as well buy a koyo for around 330 shipped only a little bit more than a new stock sr one.

Why would they guess?

Integra radiator works fine for KA applications, Prelude should be fine if the outlet is correct.

why does the KA rad suk for the sr?? i have an SR and i live in hot ass texas and have no problems in the dead of summer and all i use is the engine fan :ugh: . i have no cooling issues....now i jus dropped a stanza fan in and no engine fan...i believe it runs a bit cooler now.....and its not cold here rite now. is in the low 70s.

...................so............................. ..use a KA rad from the yard but be sure to clean it of course :D

KA and SR are built the same. Take them apart and see for yourself.

go to a junk yard and get a KA rad ~30 bucks. Then make your own upper rad hoes.

its not hard to make the hose, save yourself some money and get the ka one. i live in florida and have an sr with a ka radiator and it works fine.

this is the only picture i have of mine but you can still see the hose.
