My check engine light came on the other day then went off then came back on today. I managed to find the info on pulling the code and I've determined it to be "Code 32 EGR Function". I understand there are quite a few components to the EGR system, here's my question.
I can lift up the diaphragm and the engine starts to puke...normal. I checked all the hoses, no cracks in them however they feel a bit rigid, probably should be replaced but doubt that's causing the error. I then hold my fingers on the EGR diaphragm and rev the engine...it moves up but only slightly. Is this normal? How much travel should there be in the diaphragm? I can press the diaphragm much further with my fingers as opposed to revving the engine and feeling it move. Thanks!
