Ever try Maxthon (the new MyIE)? I use Firefox and Maxthon and never get popups. Maybe its all those porn sites?
Scan your comp for spyware using adaware/spybot/norton/whatever program.

never have gotten a pop up in firefox. The only way to get them is by allowing the site to give you popups. Or if you have somethign like weatherbug or somethign that is connected to your internet, they cause pop ups randomly.

Use stop-the-pop-up Lite. hella works. you can even adjust how secure you want it. works everytime for me. but, sometimes, the new popups may leak, but not a lot.
or you can get avast! Antivirus...or Adware 6. they get rid of pop ups permanently.
oh yeah, and quit using internet explorer. most of the pop ups are made for internet explorer, so no matter waht, some sites will give you crazy ass pop ups. go download Mozilla. Since ive been using it, NEVER had a problem of pop ups.

Ive been using firefox since it was called pheonix in the beta stages as my primary browser and have had less than one dozen pop-ups. I highly doubt it's your browser and would side with kid on the matter, if you dont already have Adaware and Spybot you might want to look into installing these to rid your pc of malware.

OK, so I installed Norton 2005, ad-aware pro + adwatch, and still some popups are getting by. Hmmm.... Gonna need some work.

I haven't had any problems. I run a AMD athlon XP 2600 w/ barton core, DFI motherboard, 1 GB Geil ram, Seagate 120 GB 7200 rpm HD, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro,Thermaltake cpu heatsink and fans. I use my computer mainly for recording music. I also play lots of games. Like I said I haven't had any problems. Some people might, but I know that none of the guys I work with w/ SP2 have problems from it, cause we were talking about it, last week. Also, I don't know of anyone at work having problems and we're on a network that serves at least 5,000 computers w/ SP2. (it's an Air Base)
Again, it may be buggy, but I haven't seen that.
