Well it has been long awaited. This car has had it's original paint job for 16 long years and I thought it was time for a change. I am getting the sparkling Silver (Nissan) with a Toyota (kira kira coat) <--extra sparkley, that will also in clude getting my Uras body kit re-fitted and painted, under the hood will be painted Black and in the trunk will be painted black as well. The door jams, all of the interior was Brown but I swapped it all out for the grey interior. I took out the GT-R seats and put bride Full buckets. All of this was done for $1400.

I will paint my S-14 Wine red with candy apple top coat with a few flakes. By the way MRmeteropedafile????? I will be in Tokyo On thursday the 13th so if you are around you can give me a call 090-5026-2577.

Nice Zilvia sticker. :D

I'll give your phone a call tomorrow or something... If not, check your PM box for my cellio.
BTW, Sat and Sun will be the days we go to TAS. I've got friends staying over Fri and Sat night. Maybe we can meet up Friday if you decide you don't want to hit the show that day. I think we'll be cruising to Up Garage and a few other shops while they're out here.

Your wheel gap keeps keeps staring me right in the face, daring me to say something. Now it's whispering gently in my ear.

Oh, when will you learn, wheel gap? I am no longer your toy!

HAHAaHAH yeah the wheel gap is bad because I have marshmallow shocks on there right now I did not want my Green Teins to get the nasty undercoat treatment It will be slammed back down to the ground soon. hahahaha.

Hows the paint job. It looks good from here.

He charged you $1400 and used newspaper to cover things up...uh... okay. Is this a shop or just some guy on a corner. =)

uhh...that paint jobs sounds like it'd normally be like 2500 bucks...and it looks like a really nice job so what's the problem?

Oh yeah the spoiler, See the original trunk I had was spoiler less and well I wanted to keep it that way. But as he started taking off the paint he found a hole about the size of a baseball so I told him to just swap it out and well, You have to be very specific when you want something here in japan other wise you will get what you asked for. None the less I bought a carbon trunk deck and a carbon hood I will toss on there.

How is the paint job.....well it is a bad ass paint job he did three coats of paint and three coats of clear, he wet sanded each coat of paint to remove any discrepancies, and well when everything cures completely I am taking it back for a nice polymer coat. This is just one old guy doing all of this work he has his own shop three buildings down from my shop and well he does good work. I like it and it was well worth $1400.

WEll as long as you like it and seems like a good paint job. Just looks funny when i see newspaper being layed down for a $1400. Normally wax paper is layed down.

Get some big pictures. Nice color btw

the problem with newspaper(or any cheap paper for that matter) is if it doesnt hold well enough, when youre spraying clear, it can blow the base stuck to the paper up in the air(and then back onto your paint job of course). but yeah, not to knock the painter or the paint job, you cant tell if its a good paint job unless your about a foot away from a panel. Looks good from here though :bigok: what brand of paint did he use btw? due to easy voc rules in other countries...alot of paint companies still use laquer based paint just wondering
