okay so i was just browsing my DriftTengoku mag tonight and came accross these crazy looking seats. I'm shure you all have seen them before but never a topic posted about them, nor reviews. so here we go.

here is the original site
http://www.m2-hanbai.com/

there seemed to be 3 different types of seat rails listed but i just posted one. i think it was low, and then semi standard seat rails. anyhow moving along with the thread.

these list for 31,200yen, and i suck with japanese so lets just say roughly 300.00usd + seat rails which seem to go for another 100.00usd (1,300yen)

i also found an article about them in some japanese car mag.----->

those look crappy.
they are by the same company who does the DT05R wheels that everybody seems to love.
those shoulder bolsters look horrid.

sLiDewAys
12-26-2004, 10:21 PM
serriously, GOT BOLSTER! haha. if i can find a supplier to us for these then ill let everyone know. id like to see a group buy on these:)

Yeah i aggree, those seats do look shitty, and cheap.

But whatever floats your boat.

Ian
12-26-2004, 11:51 PM
how hard would it be to just modify S14 seats with foam and an extended cover...i've been thinking about making some bolsters on my stock seats

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 12:17 AM
becasue im black, and they call me BOOTLEG BRANDON. also i swing from cherry pickers and im a O.G. holaaaaa. yeah id swoop those r32's, but if i can get a single reclinable bucket like one of these tht would be great. knock them if you will, but when i havent them in the car and u sit in them, then judge. not off visualizations. please back up your opinion. give me supprt about what you think, dont just say it and leave me with this statment, like" these seats are too black" well so am i and im just fine! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Ian
12-27-2004, 12:20 AM
black ass seats....

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 12:29 AM
u should try modifying the s14 seats and let us know how it turns out..

honestly id spend 300.00 for one of these seats, what if they were super great? would u knock them then?

Ian
12-27-2004, 12:47 AM
yeah, i think they have potential for people to fit in them. But i cant deny how nice it would be to have the S14 seat placement with proper bolsters...

My dad had seats in his 69 volvo rebuilt at a local foam shop, so i'm thinking if they can do that...why not put in some moderate bolsters on top of where the stock ones are...then put some maybe neoprene/spandex material in the seams where it needs to be extended...seems easy enough...just some super hard foam or even plastic on the outside with softer foam for cushion.

sLiDewAys

sounds like a plan. if u ever get it done let me know, id be willing to make a passanger seat

Brandon I don't know about the reclineable's.. im not a fan. if your going to get a seat go with a bucket! I'd be in if someone wanted to g/b the buckets.. they are fucking cheap. but it's either that or the ChargeSpeed seat i was checking out. I'm pretty happy with my S14 seat though = )

i-love-my-s14
12-27-2004, 07:33 AM
The bucket seat looks pretty nice, but i would have to sit in it before i considered buying it, unless the group buy price was like 100 dollars.

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 12:40 PM
why is everyone so hyped on convincing me to go full bucket? isnt it MY car? isnt that MY decision, and isnt it based on MY comfort? i dunno i dont like full race buckets, which is why i dont want to purchase one. I sat in a few and i hardly felt comfortble/ im a 6"1 black man with long legs and i need something adjustable, i also have verry broad sholders so a lot of those seats dont fit me too well and im not about to pay 900 for an overpriced bride seat. A lot of the people speaking reguarding these seats have fat hookups on prices, but i can hardly see myself paying out of my pocket for something that isnt worth that much. so unless you folks got the PLUG somewhere and can get me a brand new bride, recaro, jic or even really low priced r32 gtr seats please dont tell me what i should and should not be buying. remember they call me BOOTLET BRAMDON, i make the cheap shit look good:)hahahha

haha
it sucks to be cheap huh?
6'1 no problem. my friend rocks a zetaII type L and the ZEROS in another friends
long trips VERY comfy. putsme to sleep.
i got a ZEIG now and it rules.

nah dood, sorry but it dont look good. no matter whos car taht seat is in.

you should stop sitting in crappy buckets. haha

Ian
12-27-2004, 12:48 PM
that's exactly how i feel! (slideways)

at the last drift comp i went to, i sat in a guy's S13 with Sparco Sprints...i got stuck

i'm 6'1" and 200 lbs...i do not fit in those baby seats that you hobbits drift in. I need something adjustable dammit!

i hardly consiter momo, sparco and corbeu crappy seats. But maybe you overhyped jdm enthusiasts think bride and and all that stuff is much better.

WOULD U RATHER ME PURCHASE A COBRA SEATS? LMAO

i dont think you would! AT ALL. so how about you aaron-san get me the plug on a really nice pride seat...........

DIDNT THINK SO/:) so who is the cheap one now. yes i may be cheap with my money but when it comes to others providing a good deal for other people, they are the ones that are greatly CHEAP and keep the goddies to themselves. like JAP parts destributirs, people who locate parts and have them brought here to US. UHM okay so u buy it and have it shipped for 500.00 and want to charge me 900? NO GTFO and KISS MY BUTO:)

Ian
12-27-2004, 12:56 PM
yeah, i'd take a bride seat for 500...fuck droping a grand on a seat though...never ever gonna happen

i'd rather just strap myself to my seat with some belts lol

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 01:07 PM
EXACTLY, like my cardboard colling pannel. im gonna make a seat that says FUCK 999.95 LOL

Ian

that would be hilarious

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 01:11 PM
wouldnt it, i bet hella people would buy them if they were good!. JP

ill like modify the ep3" new civic hatchback" seats to fit s13 and then just get some glitter glue and write fuck 999.95 of them HAHAHAAH HOTNESS

ironic, Cobra seats are far better quality than Corbeau....
Corbeaus fabric fade, the skeleton frame jabs you all the time, the cushion flattens quick...

and yes, low end Sparco/Momo's are pretty cheap, same with the low end Bride seat.....but the higher end Momo/Sparco stuff is quality (duh)

u can seriously pick up a Recaro SPG cheap nowadays, lots of them on ebay, Porsche/Ferarri/BMW/SCCA forums

and yes, i do think its the little things about the Brides that make them superior to some seats (seat depth, cushion formality, thick fabric, low seat rails)

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 02:10 PM
yeah you have some points, and ive only sat in a few bride seats. really nice. but again there are picky people out there who actually notice and feel everything from products, like those who complain about tein he's suck and how they love the spl's. feel the same to me!. although i am not a picky person. i just need something thats gonna hold me and not kill my pocket. ill look for some recaro srd's but im not gonna pay 600 for a used one when they retail for that much!

SPG's go for cheaper now! get SPG's if u want bucket
Speeds cost onlye like 400 now or something....
He's and KTS might feel the same, but its the overall support/construction/bracket design that separates them enough to make certain people choose one over the other....factors like valving, clearance, customer support.... maybe you just arent caring enough

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 02:24 PM
i care a lot, otherwise i wouldnt come out my pocket with the ash to buy it. but dont you think people create an unecesary hype over parts sometimes. like just because YOU think its better doesnt me that its worth wild for everyone else to purchase. so i think korean girls are better in bed than chinese! that dont mean that white girls are any less exiting. catch my drift? anyhow ill look into it, maybe ill come accros a good deal on some seats. s14driftr stated above some gtr seats for 600. thats not soo badd. since some go for 600 a piece!

heartwork, i know u stand behind your products, and so do i especialy when i believe that i recieved something of good quality so dont think im down talking you. its just a discussion!

Yep! Cobra seats are great quality, much nicer than Corbeau, on par with Sparco. Cobra seat bolts to a Bride rail, too... no problem getting a low bracket for the 240. They're made in the UK... not some knockoff junk.

sLiDewAys
12-27-2004, 02:57 PM
thats good info. the cobra seat i sat in was junk. probly because it was a really low model. but im shure some of the new models are much superior!

ronic, Cobra seats are far better quality than Corbeau....

Corbeau seats also tend to get a nasty smell to them for a while. Skylar's Corbeaus arent that bad, though. They've been holding up alright in the two years that he has them - No fade or anything.

I do prefer buckets brandon, im not trying to SWAY you one way or other. But typical for me (being skinny and not too tall) find buckets no problem. I would love a Bride but I'm looking into other seats as well.

dood bride is cheap
all my bride seats except one were under 500 dollars

brix: 400
ergo: 400
zetaII: trade for ergo (and ergo rail)
zeig: 800 (with rail)

bride isnt expensive, just people always see new prices.
all my seats are used.
just atkes somepatience. my friends get there cheap too when used, its not hard, ebay you can find alot
a friend found 2 R34 GTR wheels for 300 bucks

i buy a good seat so i wont need to upgrade later
buy it ONCE
and be done
mine only upgraded to better and better
im in the market for another brix for a passenger seat, i hate s14 seats

sparco rev is a good price (fits bride FG rails)
spg is a badass seat and inexpensive nowadays. not including the bunch of knockoff SPGs in japan
buddy club is cheap (but you wont fit too tall)

there are lots of CHEAP seats you just have to know where to look

i dont think your talking down to me at all...i just think your missing the point on why certain things are more expensive and have more appeal ;)
good quality+hype=inflation

Im currently looking into the Cobra Imola or Suzuka(withstood over 68g in testing) as far as buckets go. I sat in a Sparco Rev for 3Hours in my friends shop writing invoices, main fact is that i had a backsaver pad from baker precision keeping my loins well supported. For a recline I was looking into the Cobra Misano. Very nice and supportive but at $1100/per seat. www.subesports.com has specs on the seats. I agree with Dousan on the Brides, nice and cheap. My only gripe is that they are not FIA rated, or els eI would have picked up a Zeta 3 and Ergo

as far as Fixed buckets buckets go, I like Sparco Evo 2. I'm 6'4" 230lb. Long legs.

I haven't sat in a lot of reclinables, but the corbaeu I did sit in, I hated.

I think these seats look promising.

That seat is a work of freaking ART. All stainless steel and carbon fiber and suede. Damn. haha. I'd buy those if I had a car nice enough to match!

I've been trying to find a used Daytona for my car. Not much luck so far... found one on ebay, but the auction ended while I was on the road to my parents house in NY so I lost it.

My favorite bucket that I've tried so far was the Sparco Pro2000. The Rev and the Evo are a bit too narrow for me, the Evo2 is a bit too wide.

thoes seats look kewl, if they are cheep....fuk a seat make your own! Sparco torenos are dope, look kewl and reclineable and for a bucket, the sparco Evo 2 is awsome! if you get a bucket make sure its comfortable and rember buckets suck ass on long trips and you cant have Sex in a bucket.... :coold:

thats why you get a bucket driver seat, and then a reclinable passenger seat. or there is always the backseat. haha

in my case I dont have a backseat. altho my girl loves my cusco rear strut bar. "I can hold on and get a good position with it" Its the first mod on my car she likes. NOTE::S14 passenger seats sux for sex, theres a bar the goes across it, always killing my girls' back with it. Definately I need to change over to a better seat for her.
