alright all of you nerdy boys and girls need to pipe up and join me on the wonder that is counterstrike. i'm addicted to it lately so if you play the game say sumthin so i can track you down on the wonder that is steam.

oh yeah, does anyoine else have a problem with the game crashing for no real reason? this game was the first time i ever got the BOD from windows XP.

im Hypertek. anyways, yah my hl2 and cs s crash when i try to exit the game to windows, it reboots my computer and messes up my video card drivers. The game is still buggy since it was released, just gotta wait for Valve to release updates.

man whats this games requirement?..cuz mah cousin..told me that the graphic is hella high..and that probably mah comp won't run it..i have..1.7ghz p4, 512mb ddr, 128mb ddr radeon, and 60 gig hdd..

You actually might be alright if you turn everything down. The source engine doesn't really required an insane machine. I manage to play it on my Poweredge w/o an AGP slot and only a Radeon 7200.

I am not getting crazy framerates by any stretch of the imagination, but it plays fine for me.

BTW I play under "Butros Butros Butros Ghali"

Ever since the first time i played counterstrike, through all the patches, all the different versions, and even now with the new game engine.

I can NEVER get the stupid "Add Server" feature to work. It never finds the server. It never puts it in my favorites list. I just usually play on the server with the best latency. I've given up on this. The buddy list also doesnt work.

Somehow, I used to play CS on my computer (Pentium II 400MHz, 128MB SDRAM, some nVidia card). Pretty smoothly might I add, just couldnt run any other programs. But that was back in 2001. Do people still play that map "dust"?

lol nice. yes they still play "dust" which by the way, I dont get why source didnt try to push new maps out -_-...everybody is sick and tired of dust,aztec,and inferno.

Aztec is the best map of CS! CS sucks in comparison to the Desert Combat mod of BF42 though. :aw:

new maps are coming out every so often... they release Prodigy a week ago and its the best map so far. Its soo freakin awesome.

Desert Combat and CS are very different games. Desert Combat is in the genre of like UT2k4 which kicks DC arse...

hmm, their both FPS, they have useable vehicles, gameplay kicksass for both, both games sucks with few people. So yeah, i think of them very similar.

CS is more, fast pace, close quarter combat.

Sure they both have "vehicles" and are FPS, but that's where the similarities end. They have completely different gameplay; being that BF42 is a WWII sim and unreal is some space future bullshit. While i'm on the subject of WWII, DoD is awesomesauce.

when i play with people from my ex-clan, i play as "dorifto" (yea thats right cali240sxdrifter! hahaha)......but now i usually just go by "Hattori Hanzo"
