I stopped by the PhatKA-T.com shop today and to my surprise my intake mani is close to beeing completed. It still has to get welded and polished, but its coming along nicely. There will be 2 versions. The full race one thats in the pics and a street version which will be cheaper. Ivan still has to do a bit of testing and im sure he will chime in once he is done.

Just making sure all KA freaks know about it. I think it will make a big difference in hp #'s.

Runners look a little long to me, but over-all build quality looks great. Can't wait to see some numbers.

Street version, eh? I'm sure that one effectively eliminates the emissions gear, any details on it? Looks like I polished my intake mani for nothing :)

I am currently working on a street intake that will eliminate a good deal of runner lenght and have a larger plenum. All the factory idle control electronics will still bolt up. PCV will still function. No EGR though. Soon... I promise.

Finally somebody did this for us KA losers. =)

Looking good as usual from the Phatkat guys..... I want one, very badly..

Where on the power band do you think this will be most beneficial?
Smoothing it all out?
Top end?

This manifold was desinged with all the science of high boost, high rpm, big HP. How it performs elsewhere will be seen on the dyno in the next couple weeks.

awesome looking manifold. the runners look kinda long? are longer runners better? i like the nice thick flanges for for less prone to cracking (even though its on the cold side). are the flanges going into the block going to be rounded off to look more pretty? haha.

i have a suggestion! ive been looking at the escort racing intake manifold for sr and they have velocity stacks in the plenum. maybe u can incorporate velocity stacks in this one too! and maybe adaptor plate for q45 tb? isn't the q45 tb slightly bigger? 3.5in?

It looks like it kinda already has velocity stacks inside there.

Anyone know the word on the street intake manifold? I know I'm not the only one wanting to see this.

I like the idea of longer runners. The turbo will take care of the top end. This way you get to keep some of the low end torque. :D

I'd definately like to know how close we are to a finished product. ???

The first two manifolds are being welded up currently. There was a slight delay while the mounting flanges were out at the CNC shop getting pimped out. I should have pictures by this weekend.

what will be the difference between the street versions and the full race versions? what are the prices going to be approx for both? can the tb flange be custom ordered so we can fit whatever tb we wish? hopefully q45 tb.
