Which is better Blitz or HKS bov?

Im deciding which bov to go for and just wondering what the differences there are between the two. Which one sounds the nicest?

Fuck sound, when it comes to Blitz vs HKS, HKS wins hands-down cus its a "pull" type and doesn't leak, unlike the Blitz.

FWIW I hate the sound on the HKS, but it doesnt leak.. it still wins!

And this should be in tech...

i have hks ssqv. it's neato. it goes kshhhhhhhhhh, even when you let off in vacuum.

first of every BOV at low boost level does the "shu tutututu" like grip gambler put it. The HKS sounds more like a bird whistling at higher boost levels. But it's not ordinary bird. It's an HKS robot bird. of death. it blows out fire through it's nose. umm yeah. that's what it sounds like.

Yeah, that's a good example, it does sorta sound like a bird. Like a kinda warbling thing is what I'm thinking of. I'm used to just one big PSSSSHHHH coming from the BOV.

i worked on this turbo integra with a silent bov. you had to put your hand in front of it and feel the air coming out to make sure it was working.

i don't remember the brand tho

Go HKS, but go oldschool HKS SQV haha........there are hundreds of them in Japan. I picked mine up from Japan last summer for $60, good thing my girl knows how to speak Japanese ;)

I've seen them on Ebay for about $120-$150 though...

I always thought the flutter was due to higher horsepower cars....or so it seems...

i talked to a few formulaD and D1GP US guys. The Blitz BOV diesnt fully close from WOT to no throttle back to WOT quick enough. I noticed most guys run HKS or Greddy, unless they were sponsored (nomu-ken)

Greddy has a new BOV too, the type RS, not the type S or the Type R... it slots in between and they are planning on phasing out the type S.

The Greddy rep at the GT Live event explained it was a better design than the type S, can handle more boost and has a special fitting to make more noise. :rolleyes:

BLITZ isn't that bad. i have one. i had it recirculated also, no leaks. in fact, it holds boost well and doesn't stall out. i guess, it's all on how well it can be installed?

HKS has a pretty cool sound...in my opinion i think it sounds like "K'ching!PHSSS" Its definately awesome. Blits sounds like the ordinary "psssh". However, blitz is a lot cheaper than HKS.

Well im leaning more towards the blitz is it a common problem that it leaks or just some experience it? Is it a performance problem? I really like the blitz bov but want it to function properly and work well cause i like the hks but the sound is not what im lookin for. Is there another bov that has the same sound as the blitz but doesnt leak?

that R32 sound is like the old HKS the cheap one that looks like a ....something( I love it,I have the same one, and it for sale if u want it) and it sound better than what I just got
the new Hks SQV (THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE A CUP) I just got with that whistle ( that I don't like) work well, doesn't leak.....and I'm sure I'll grew to love the sound of it..later.. C

dont rush into anything man, life is long, just take your time and go right the first time, just buy cheap parts for your car because you will end up regreting them and then you will end up buying the good parts after so take your time and save your money!

Well I had the blitz on my 13 and the HKS ssqv on my 14 but I hated them both So I hhave Greddy Type R's on both of my cars now. By the way I am getting the 13 painted Nissan Sparkling silver with a Sparkling Clear top coat I will have pics up next week <----not sure why I even brought that up but hey I am excited and had to tell someone.
