I just lowered my car yesterday with new RSR racing spring and AGX shock and also Rear Sub-Frame Bushing on my 95 S14 with an S15sr with 6 speed. And now I hear weird loud rattling come from under my car. It starts to rattle when the car go fast and fast and while its go fast and fast it gets louder and louder. Then if I cut the speed and go to neutral while I hear the loud sound, it stops. If I cruse very slowly the sound will not come out and then when I punch it starts up fast. It seems to come on under boost. Before I lowered my car, I have never heard this sound before. The sound sounds like its coming from the middle of the car to the back seat. Here some video clips (with sound only):
Sound 1 (http://www.geocities.com/squaresoft_99/badsound1.avi )
First clip I go the first then sound starts a little then go to second then sound get louder then go to third and gets really loud then go to fourth and sound stops (not pushing the gas hard.
Sound 2 (http://www.geocities.com/squaresoft_99/badsound2.avi )
Second clip I go the first then sound starts a little then go to second then sound get louder then go to third (under boost) and gets really loud then go to neutral and sound stops.
Sound 3 (www.geocities.com/squaresoft_99/badsound3.avi )
Third clip I go the first then sound starts a little then go to second then sound get louder then go to third (under more boost) and gets really loud then go to neutral and sound stops.
Does anyone know where the sound is coming from or hear of this before? Thanks for your help guys.

it has to do with your driveshaft. check it for any thing that could be hitting anything else. my friends put a zip tie around mine on my car (And truck)... sounds pretty bad but does no damage.

Driveshaft seems to be a very good guess. It gets louder as you drive, so I would also check the driveshaft.

I also thought driveshaft before reading the posts above. See how the frequency of the beats increases with speed? then again, it's louder in 2nd and 3rd gear...
also, please review your shifting techniques and timing....i hear your revs increasing, then the shift up, then a lower pitched sound followed immediately by revs increasing again. You're putting unnecessary strain on your clutch and you're basically burning it by holding onto it for so long. Quicken the shifts so there's a nice clean sound that ONLY increases in frequency. vrooooom, shift, vrooooom. not, vrroooom, shift, brrrr...vrrrooom. I hope you can understand what I'm talking about.

might be pilot bushing or the flywheel had gotten loose. i wouldn't recommend pushing the car.... read my for sale thread. similar situation happened, but the buyer pushed it hard, bouncing off the revlimiter. after that, no more clutch engagement.
http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=68977
due to the vibration, the flywheel will start to wiggle more, but that is if your bolts aren't properly put on, or if it is stripped, etc etc. mines was fine except for the pilot bushing. after a bad pilot bushing, came massive vibration and things loosening itself. things as bad as my car being broken down can result, depending on driving conditions. other than that, i think you need to retighten the driveshaft bolts so there's little freeplay from the driveshaft itself conencting to the the propeller shaft. or maybe it's a 2way/welded diff going bazerk.. lol i'm just messin around

Well I still do not know what that sound is coming from... yes I do think its the driveshaft as well.... I will have to look very closely at the driveshaft. Does anyelse as any other good ideas?
And about the bad shift.. I had to shift like that because my Rear Sub-Frame Bushing were 100% gone so if I made the clutch come up too fast the car well bounce like a mexican jump bean all the time. So I learn to do that so the car will not bounce plus the shock are 100% gone as well. so I can feel everything thats going on with my car. Also I just learn to shift about two months ago since I got my S15 Sr. Anyway my new spring, shock and sub-frame bushing are GREAT! I love it. But can not drive the car around with that sound around. :wtc: Maybe I will take some pic or something.....
oh and I do not have any video of my car right now. I will put some pic of my car went the sound is fix :whip:

Is there anything precluding you from putting the rear of the car on jack stands and driving it there?

dude, why the hell hasn't this guy checked his driveshaft clearance yet? this makes no freakin sense.just crawl under your HEAP and look.... it ain't rocket science.
