alright i did a search and didnt find much although i will keep seraching to see if its bin talked about before lol im just massivly afraid of the pink name:P
I wanna stop my antenna from going up and down while driving my car. With the factory stereo it would only come up if i was playing the radio but since then i have a pioneer head unit and the moment i give power to the car its up. I cannot get to the back of my headunit without ripping the dash apart and i dont wanna do that but i can if there is a power antenna wire or sumthing or if i unplut the antenna signal wire that may work as well?
there are also 2 wires running to a white plug and into the antenna motor and i cant pull it out for sum reason, as well theres the fat black cord which is in tight but i havnt even tried to get out cuz i dont think that would do anything.
anyone wanna fill me in on how to disable my power antenna? i dont listen to the radio that much and if i decide too, ill live with the shitty signal. :P

Wow, there's a post of sheer intelligence right there.
Unplug the power to the antenna. The 'fat black cord' is the antenna cable, leave it connected.

It unplugs. If you can't figure it out, you need to find another hobby.

haha beak show
i know a lot more about my car than u think and i do feel like a knob for having to post a question about this but clearly i said it was in their real tight and i dont wanna rip it out only to find it was clipped in there or thats not even the right wire. but thanks for comin out man, it seemed like a fairly easy question for u to answer without being a choch bassically multiple choice (green and white cables going to motor, antenna signal cable or power antenna cable on my stereo) but w.e

Like Russ said, its clipped in. My antenna motor died on me but it would still try to raise up and down --- giving me the worst grinding sound. I just pulled out the power to it and still get somewhat good reception w/ no motor trying to raise/lower the antenna when I turn on the radio.
If I recall, I think the clip is right along the antenna base. Similar to all those other wiring plugs. I had my trunk interior panels removed so I had a better view of what I was looking for.
Most of the time, there's no need to pull wires/parts. There's a clip, be patient, find it, remove it and don't create any extra work should you decide to put it back in later.

P.S. Does "knob" = newb/newbie? What about "choch"?

Unbolt the two gold 10mm bolts securing it. You can then rotate it slightly and gain better access to the plug, making it easier to get to.
Is that what you wanted to hear?
