RB25 240z

Has anyone ever seen this done before? i saw a 2JZ in a 280z once and i was just wondering if anyone had tried the RB. Will that motor even fit without fucking with engine bay to much. Obviously motor mounts would have to be made, the shifter hole would have to be cut, and a custom drive shaft would be needed. So other than those problems would there be to much more? Oh yeah, wiring would probably suck.

A guy in Winnipeg owns it. Haven't heard much about it lately though.

I know McKinney sells parts like oil pans and such for RB's into S30's.

Yeah a few guys in Aus are running 240 and 260Zs with RB26DETTs. A few with the more common RB20/25s too. One magazine editor over here built one with a 1JZ GTE a while back.

there was one with an RB26 up at beaver run for DGTrials Drift Riot. I almost shat myself when i saw it. It's not that uncommon. In fact, RB swaps are popping up everywhere.

That would be Darius's 240z. It has a 350(lt1) with a vortech s trim supercharger. Has nice fmic setup also. Has some nice flares also.

so is the RB swap a really hard swap? I mean how bad would be compared to an RB in a 240sx?

Ive seen everything from 12a's to v12s put into Zs, also a jet engine..

i cant really answer the question cause ive never swapped one.. if you can get the 200zr motor mounts then the rb would bolt right to your existing crossmember then everything after that is pretty much custom.

if you've seen an s30 chasis engine bay there is a lot of room in there! seems like you can fit almost anything given you had the custom engine/tranny mounts, driveshaft, wiring, etc..

someone needs to get ahold of an ls2 and stick that in a 240z...it would be unreal
