I am more than likey going to be doing a Porsche Boxster s caliper conversion on my s13. I know its a little over the top but i dont care. Question is.. s13's dont use a seperate drum for the e brake like the z32. does anyone know if the boxster s is the same cuz i cant find any info about that and dont feel like signing up to a Porsche fourm. If they do use a seperate drum any sugestions on how to go around that

I don't have answers to your questions, but have some input on some things that you might want to consider before going ahead with this conversion.
The S13 brake system seems to be very rear biased. I have heard from a few ppl who run Z32 fronts and stock rears.
My S13 setup of Porsche 993TT "Big Reds" on the front and Z32 on the rear with Z32 MC also exhibits this rear bias. There have been quite a few times when I would jump on the brakes and the rears would lock first. At the track, if I use race pads on the front and street pads on the rear, it helps balance the bias, but it is still not what I consider an ideal situation. Next year, I am breaking down and am finally going to install a brake biasing valve to correctly balance the system.
Are you going to use the Boxsters all around?

Thank you for the info, a brake biasing control would be a great idea.
Yes i want to use the boxster s brakes all around. if im not mistaken they are all four piston with the front using 12.5 inch rotors and the rear using 11.8 i was thinking about using the rotors from wither a 3000gt or mustang cobra to fit the lugs (5 lug).I I also want to use ebc reds on the front and greens on the back. yeah i know its alot of work but i think the fun in cars isnt bolting random stuff on its making thing that should fit work.

Look on Freshalloy theres a good post about brake bias. I did the calculations a while back. The boxster brake setup has front brake bias of under 60% IIRC which might be ok for a rear/mid engined car but for a 240 no way I'd run that. You would basically NEED to install a bias valve to run a porsche setup. In terms of piston area the porsche front calipers are actually worse than z32 front calipers. If you want to go custom you're better off making a bracket for the Z32 caliper.
