Removal of Seat problem

hey guys i'm having trouble removing my driver side seat (s13).
The electrical cable underneath the seat won't unconnect and i can't figure out for the hell of me why it won't. been working at it for half an hour. i believe it's the seat belt sensor.

eh fixed the problem it had a broken clip so i had to use a screw driver to pry it off thanks guys

For the seatbelt sensor. Pull it off, then toss the control module for the seatbelts that's under the arm rest... ONLY IF YOU HAVE MANUAL SEATBELTS... of course.

Then unplug your check engine light so you don't have to worry about it in the future. I mean all it does is tell you something is wrong and you should immediatly find out what the problem is and correct it...

I don't think the seatbelt sensor tells the ECU anything. I've had my sensor's unplugged when I got manual seatbelts and no check engine light at all. The car runs fine and the check engine light does work, and its not related in any way to the seatbelt sensor. Leave the check engine light plugged in, it won't affect it.

I also don't have that annoying chime when starting the car due to my seatbelts being off... and no seatbelt light in the cluster either.

I've grown up in the seatbelt safety era so I now put it on subconsciously. I just don't have to worry about smacking my head into the belt motor if I need to make a quick escape from my car.
