as title says. if u had the choice of a C's or a bnm which would u choose for daily driving? which is smother, easier on synchros and wat not. also does a C's thats made for a s14 sr work on a KA? most likely yea but i wanna make sure.

Any shifter that works for the sr will work for the ka. Neither shifter will be smooth like the stock shifter. No experience with the B&M but I've heard its much notchier than the C's.

The Nismo will be more smooth than the stock one and will be a VERY little bit shorter. That's why they call it a "solid shifter". I'm gonna go with the B&M when I get around to it. Everyone I've talked to has liked it.

C's / Pilot / SRR / OBX = Shorter shifts, feels like how it should have come from the factory.
B&M = Just awesome. With a stock shift knob, it's great. Put on a lighter, shorter knob...and it feels notchy IMO. I ditched my GREX knob in favor of the stock one and am much happier with the B&M...the extra inch of height (plus the weight) gives just enough extra leverage to make a difference.
I've owned both kinds...and the B&M is better...but I still dunno if it's $150 better ($75 vs $225).

Seeing as how I've only had to buy one shifter, and its never cause me a problem, and I like the throw more than the other shifters on the market, the extra $150 is negligible over time.
B+M.

Ive driven quite a few cars with B&M, ive felt drastic changes in how fast and smooth i can shift with it. The damn things re so strong as well and loved be be brutally thrown into gear. B&M have been around for quite some time and I have never nor anyone i know had problems with them.
Nismo- Also very good, it felt very strong and smooth as well. but for the money id say go with B&M

I love my B&M. I wouldn't call it notchy... more of a positive clack just to loet you know that "yes, you are in gear" Miss-shifts are a thing of the past.
Most people are happy with their OBX shifters as well.

Cs is discontinued. bm is a better shifter from what i hear but Cs is jdm mad tyte yo..
bm is about 40-50% shorter and more solid while cs is about 25-35% shorter. depends on how short and solid you want your shifter to be..
oh yea, one more think. my friend said the newer model Cs shifter puts wear on your synchros and ruins the transmission. the best bet is to find an older model Cs shifter which is going to be even harder since Cs is discontinued.
good luck. cheers, kenny.

eh.. who cares..!!!
if you are in high rev's with your motor your least concern should be oh my... the shift knob is rattling.. i would be more concerned about the task at hand. The bnm shifter is most likely one of the best shifters on the market today. The rattle honestly only happens at around redline.. So to me its more of a shift indicator than an actual hassle.

:werd: :stupid: If you search you can find how to fix the rattle too.

I have a B&M and it rattles like crazy at most all rpms, even after trying the mods to fix it. It rattles with stock, Nismo GT and Dildo knob. It doesn't rattle at high rpms though, just 2000-4500. Not worth it in my opinion. It sounds like poop, annoying as hell.

I have an OBX and the thing was ABSOLUTE CRAP without a weighted shift knob!!
I bought a counterweighted Greddy and it helped alot. Shifts much smoother now.
Also I dont' know how the BnM installs but if its the same as the OBX one be sure to replace that plastic shift bushing thing down there.
