My friend gave me a CT26 turbo from a Mark III supra, no shaft play and has low miles. The only problem is (as most of u know) it's clocked all wrong (housing faces the wrong way).

I've seen a few guys on this site that have a ct26 installed on their cars but my question is, How the hell do u mount this damn thing no a ka24e?!?!? :bash:

Beware of the CT26!!!! My buddy with a supra ran one and blew it in the first couple weeks on stock boost settings… and had it rebuilt twice with the same problem! his friends had the same problems.. to! If I were you I would bury it in a place where it will never be found by anybody ever again…

good luck..

when part do u need to adjust??? well...either way...all u do is loosen the bolts on the back of the housings and turn it to the angle u need. but the exhaust housing might be a pain in teh ass cuz its rusted or crusty.

your friend sounds like he either had it set up wrong or whoever rebuilt it was an idiot...
because in my in-depth research on MKIIIs as a viable car I could have bought, and knowing MANY people in person that own them and have done many different mods; one thing stands the same... when not overboosting a stock turbo or a modded one (different levels of course), the CT26 is very reliable...
MKIII Supras are extremely reliable if you dont count their headgasket problems (a factory defect that is correctable with a MHG and higher torque'd head bolts)...

one friend having a problem with many different variables that are also other possible explanations does not make the CT26 bad... toyota used it for a reason... dont question toyota :)

on the side: the CT26 is sorta a turbo between a T3 and T4... its pretty cool in my book; if I could make one fit on a bottom-mount SSA manifold, I'd use one myself because they are so readily available and have far more hybrid offerings available for them... 300whp is easy enough to coax out of one stock IIRC... prolly be hella fun on a KA

Loosen the bolts on the housing and turn it.

I would probably go ahead and buy new bolts for the hot side, since they will be rusty, and I would hit them with a penetrating oil like PB Blaster about an hour before I started to try and avoid snapping them off.
