anybody know who makes side draft carbs for the ka24e engine.  I want every thing under my hood to be simple.  I wanna get rid of the AFM and all the excess vacuum lines and the extra electronics.  Basically I want something simple to work with.

i think a company called webber makes carbs for the SOHC. nismoparts.com sells (or did sell) a carb kit.

I've actually heard that if you can find Mikuni carbs, it's worth it.

Nissan Motorsports makes a manifold that for the KA24E that supports Mikunis. But I don’t think they carry the Mikunis any more so you will have somewhere else to get them. You will also need to get a vacuum advance distributor, but I don't know what kind to recommend. Give Rebello a call, I'm aware of at least one 240hp carb'd KA24E they have built, so they should know exactly what you could use for ignition.
