Ok...So I had this idea when I ordered my tickets...In order to get really good parking...and to insure the safety of my ride...I would enter my car into the "car show"...

Anyone who has seen my ride would consent that its good enough for a show...More of a daily driver, but shit...new paint/kit/SR/clean wheels...why not?

Anyhow...The point of this semi-rant...

I recieve the tickets in the mail yesterday and guess what? If you are registered for the car show, you have to DROP OFF your car on Friday and LEAVE IT till Sunday...

WTF?

Can someone explain WHY this has to be the case? Anyone with show experience??

I think the car show is all weekend so they want it there all the time.

almost every car show is like that...even if its a one day show. Drop off is the day before usually and you have time to clean and prep.

What are they going to do? Stop you from driving away? Just park near an exit...

my friend is entering his s2k, he was wondering if you still need to buy tickets for the event or if the car show registration covers the event so you can go.

Thats pretty normal for shows and such. Some of my friends who are into that shit always end up droping their cars off a day or two in advance.

Yea, I just find it kinda shitty, I wish they would have put something about that in the description when I purchased the "registration." Oh well...might do it...Oh yea, registration includes a weekend pass...

I guess they didn't put that cause that is pretty much the norm for any show.

Reminds me when my friend had to dump half his gas tank to get into a convention center. We found out it was cheaper to buy show spots cause you got to take a passenger. The we get to the loading bay doors and a tech walks up looks at his gas gauge and is like "no"

Less than 1/4-1/8th of a tank left depending on the venue. He had just gased up cause we drove a long way and he didn't want to go after the show.

Are you still going to enter your car in the show?

I think I wil enter the show, as long my cousin will drive for both days. There are three of us going so I want to make sure I am not a burden on someone else...

Looks like I am going to spend three days cleaning my car!

I know its a show, but I am thinking of going with no vinyl...Never liked it anyhow...

1/4 tank or less...i remember going to HIN San Mateo last year and a bunch of cars forgot about that rule so there were like 15 cars doing hot laps in the parking lot...until the cops came and tried to ticket people for racing...then when the cops left they were back at it again.
