Hi everyone!

Me and my Japanese performance enthusiast friends are planning to order performance parts and maybe even body kits from US next spring. This is because its slim pickings on jap made parts over here and if you are lucky enough to find someone who sells parts from for example HKS or GReddy, it costs at least twice than what you'll have to pay for them.

The problem is, I don't know what would be a good place to order? I've checked all of the zilvia.net sponsors and found alot of interesting stuff, but I'm not sure if the shops will ship parts to outside US. Also, I don't have a credit card, so a wire transfer will be my only way to pay. Thats why I'd need to know which companies are reliable and wouldn't just snatch my money without sending me the products.

So if there are other foreigners reading this forum who have ordered stuff from online shops, please share your experiences, I'd really appreciate it. Or if anyone else has something good to say about companies like Touge Factory, Rare Trick, Phase 2 Motortrend, GTP International, Raceonusa, Heavy Throttle and etc, etc, I'd love to hear it from you. I've allready been in contact with a couple of firms, but since I really don't know a thing about them, I'm a bit intimidated to send my money to them without any guarantees of them being honest.

Thanks alot in advance!

Most of the sponsors here are going to be very trustworthy and reliable. The guys from Touge Factory, Rare Trick, Phase 2, etc. all seem very nice, in fact a lot of them are on this board. If I were you, I'd stay away from GTP and RaceonUSA because their quality is a bit questionable.
Good luck!
P.S. Scandanavians are awesome :)

Good to hear that! I didn't think they were crooks anyway, but thought it would be good idea to hear some recommendations first, before sending my money to strangers :)

Yeah, I've heard :( , but I want that BN Sports type front bumper so badly. I don't know if someone imports the genuine ones to states, but I think it wouldn't make a difference anyway, 'cos the shipment costs are going to be astronomical, so I'll try to cut some costs down. And if the bumper (or any part I'm ordering) costs over 35 euros (about 50$), there's a big chance of it getting stuck in customs, which means i'll have to pay an extra 22% of tax for it! And that sucks!

I'm confident I'll be able to make it fit though. Maybe lay some extra layers of fiberglass to it.. We Fins are DIY kind of people :D . In fact, many people in here craft their own bodykits (like this one -> http://www.evtek.fi/~k0200665/VASMO/temp/kone46.jpg), but I'm not into that...

Hows that :)? I didn't know you Americans even knew where Finland is!! But yeah, you are pretty cool too!

I especially love your SR swaps, which I'll definitevly going to do to my CA18DET RS13. SR swaps are really rare over here, because S13 got CA18DET which nobody bothers to swap and S14 allready came with SR20DET. But I'll do it! (I hate CA!). This is excellent forum, I've found so much info here that cannot be found anywhere else. Keep it up!

I've heard a story where a finnish guy is traveling in USA and somebody asks him where he is from. The finnish gyu says he's from Finland and to that the American guy answers "isn't that in Texas?"

...or something like that!

But I like Sweden too. Been there a couple of times. Stockholm is really pretty in the summer. A lot of jap car fans in Sweden too.

Never been in Norway thou..

www.optionimports.com has been absolutely awesome to me!!! I've ordered Kazama parts, Greddy,
Apexi etc etc etc, OEM Nissan, and always delivered as promised.
I've also used Phase 2, Enjuku, Heavy Throttle which were also pretty good.
