Hi!

I need to know the original ignition timing of the jap spec CA18DET! Urgent, because I change to the japanese Ecu today!!

Just to get sure we talk about the same thing! The timing on a euro spec CA18DET is 15 before upper-dead-point! (strict translation from german)

I asked the same question in nissansilvia.com and I got the answer:
Quote:
10deg at 750rpm

This doesn`t look like the same thing? Could it be?

Thanks
Alex

Ummmm....not sure if this will help, but you might want to try downloading a Factory Service Manual from here....
http://www.ffdet.com/members/rich/Nissan/nissan.htm
It should list the timing info you are looking for.
Anyhow...hope this helps..

Thanks, but I fear that this manual is from the UK!

The Euro CA18DET`s are diffeent in this point....

2nd Question down...it starts with "I bought a 88 Nissan Pulsar" and ends with "whats the exact difference between a ........." then an explanation describing the differences...also gives timing differences between the two.
Is this better??
