I've heard decent things about them.... although if you don't follow the directions properly (which are in japanese), the strut piston might snap, which is very not good (dangerously unsafe actually). IIRC, someone left a certain spacer or something on the strut, and his strut piston completely snapped.
Other than that... the ride is supposedly decent but stiff (i'm not sure of springrates though) and you can't use aftermarket upper mounts.
Personally, I'd probably get the JIC Magic SF-1's... which come with adjustable upper pillowball mounts.
In adition to what ace said. The WS coilovers aren't dampening adjustable (only height adjustable) whereas the JIC coilovers (At the bottom here (http://autoimaging.com/shop/index.cgi?ID=SSMZDD&task=show&cat=JIC+Suspension)) are both dampening and height adjustable.

Also, I've heard nothing but good things about Tein HA's. I'm probably going with those. It was between them and the Apex-i N1's for a long time, but I think Tein has won me over. JIC is supposed to be damn good to though.

I guess you haven't heard that a small number of people have problems with them rusting. I guess if you take good care of them they will be fine tho? Other than that, i've heard nothing but good about them also.

Yeah, I have heard of the rusting problem. That's no big deal though, you can get them treated to take care of that. I wish that Tein would address that issue, but me, once I get them, if they ever see rain, I will wipe them free of all moisture after driving (and also get them treated). I'm kind of anal about my car! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
I just sent them an e-mail in regards to the rusting problem, so we should get a response as to why this happens, and what to do about it. Hopefully this is something that they will fix for future applications. I'll keep you all informed on what they say.

Yeah yeah yeah, it just slipped my mind. Funny you should mention that I sound like a politician though because many people seem to think that. The rust problem is not supposed to hinder performance in anyway, so I don't really consider it a problem, it just isn't asthetically pleasing.

I was talking to someone from NICO (I think from there) and he said that after 3 months his tiens were "$1200 (I forget the exact price he said) paperweights". The rust didn't allow the shock to travel up and down.
Edit: Heh, i'm just goin after you today DrDubble <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Hmmm...well, we'll see, like I said, I did e-mail Tein to have the address this issue. If I don't like their response, I may be buying from a different company.

the JIC SF-1's are not dampening adjustable... they just have adjustable spring perches like the apexi WS's.
Autoimaging told diabolic hippo that they were dampening adjustable. That sucks, no wonder everybody raves about how great teins are for the money.

I think Tein would be a good choice over Apexi WS. If you want to pay more and get a better setup ... get JIC FLT A2 ...

i've had tein HA's on my rx7 for ~3 years with no rusting problems (daily driver including rainy days). different car but i wouldn't think they'd be manufactured any different. was this guy driving them through snow everyday or something? i would think tein would replace them if it was normal conditions. i'm going to have to look into the HA's for the 240 now since i was planning on getting them.

From JIC-Magic themselves:
SF-1 (http://www.jicmagic.com/suspindex/suspindex.html)
Says nothing about adjustable dampening.
SA-1's have adjustable dampening in some models, but aren't listed for 240sx's
FLT-2's say nothing about adjustable dampening either.
FLT-A2's are the only JIC coilovers listed for the 240 that have adjustable dampening.

<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> I have WS, they are a good price for Coilovers. Don't expect a soft and smooth ride. I got them from Rollhard.com
Very nice setup i would say. And yes you have to be very cautious about the setup. The Pictures are hard to understand cause they are in Japanese.
Just installed them 3 weeks ago, no problems yet. only height adjustment, and it's firm ride. Just for fun, I had them set to the lowest setting. very dangerous but looks slammed.
I decided to go with Apexi Ws cause i wanted coilovers, and i didn't want to spend more then $1300 on Coils. And i didn't want just a spring and shock combo. I got a good deal. and it's very adjustable. Though its a pain to raise and lower. hope your project goes well

only problem with the JIC's is that they are more geared for track use. They dont come with dust boots either, which is not ideal for street. They are also stiff as hell from what I hear. Does anyone know if Zeal has a website? their B-6 coilovers may be something I want to look into
I think I will most likely end up getting kg/mm springs with GAB dampers. I'm the kinda of guy thats better off when I'm not able to mess with my height adjustment <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

DR21 KG/MM springs are just as stiff as SF-1's I think. On top of that, JIC sells other springs with different rates (I think from like 3kg to 18kg... can't really check now, it'd take too much time on dialup). Just thought you might wanna know.
The cool thing about a spring/shock combo compared to "coilovers" is that you can fit wider tires <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
