read Meada's review. Its the same unit as he just installed in his car. I know quite a few people using the very same unit now in drift competitions. In fact one of the people is a D1 driver. I won't say any names but that should prove to you. I do not have the specs on how many clutch discs it has at this time. I believe he mentions the breakaway torque in his review. I will most likely get that info tomorrow myself.

The street name that phase2 put on their website kinda struck me funny. The unit does not come from Nismo listed as a street LSD it comes listed as a LSD, ask maeda about it. he has already explained this to people in his review thread

if you order now I believe it could out tomorrow and possibly be there by christmas it goes fedex so they are pretty good about delivery I believe fedex to florida is a 4-5 deal so if you did order by tomorrow you might just see it christmas eve. Though I can't make any promises due to the whole holiday thing and people shipping presents all over like mad. It does tend to hold things up sometimes.
As far as the question if this being availible at Nissan dealers I do not beleive all dealers carry it. Much less the fact that they would even match my price.

master you are mistaken about this what you got was the Nismo GT LSD for cars that already came with VLSD's and did not need side shafts.
What you have a pic of with side shafts is the one you were supposed to get which is also the Nismo GT LSD your supposed to get and their was a shipping mix up . It is also a pic of one boxed for the Japanese market. Nismo has been reboxing product of late for U.S. distribution. I get a lot of parts from Nismo and I see it more and more.
It was sold for cars with and without . There has been a lot confusion over the whole thing which is why Mike2016's post was removed. Some people have been marketing it as a street LSD to create a price point break so they could upgrage people to other units.

Dave responded promplty this IS the nismo lsd so just for everyone that is doubting the validity of this group buy everything is valid I just did not receive the side shafts because of shipping error. < to clear things up

master I sent you an email earlier today stating that we are sending out a fedex call tag for your unit and sending the correct one tomorro tues. We did sort out what happened which I PM'd you with. Basically one of the warehouse guys was taking units out of boxes to take pics and shuffled boxs around someone was not looking carefully when they packed your unit so we issued the call tag . Your right unit will be shipped tomorrow and the wrong one will be picked up at no charge to you.
Everyone else your units are going out tomorrow as well we were going to send today but we wanted to clear this mixup up. thank you all for your patience and your units will be on their way fedex.

so here is what it is, Supposedly there was a shipping mixup and i got sent a 300zx mechanic lsd, im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and trust him no point as to why i shouldn't. Now what is happening is he has sent me the real unit with sideshafts for my car HOWEVER it is still supposedly not a real Nismo GT but a Modified SSS lsd This however is not totally confirmed I am still kinda iffy about the whole modified sss part because I am not aware that nismo makes modified lsd units and does not post it on their website. so this unit has the same force as a GT 8 less clutch plates on each side, 12 total and the same gripping force as a GT.

dude , please let me clarify this issue first off there is nothing shady here. Nismo themselves is partially responsible for the mixup. Contrary to what any of you think . I did a lot of research on this subject yesterday and last night. fact is the info I garned about these LSD's was only on the Nismo Japan website!!!! Plus it was cryptic at best. The Japanese site is out to promote the GT Pro and the GT Pro TT two of their most expensive units. In fact all other info had to researched from their charts which I spent a lot of time doing. Yes the tech specs are there and it is stated as 12 clutch unit. With the holding force of the GT!!!!!! Hence why people were saying its the same as the GT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THe Nismo street name happens to be a name that Phasetrend put on the unit to market it.
In reality its listed as a Nismo LSD. Fact is quite a few drifters In Japan are running this very LSD its not a american market only unit.
Also several people here are running it and like it a lot.
Driftheaven uses one in Formula Drift.
Now before the whole GT LSD came out all of you were hot on a SSS!!! I remember many threaads about that.
Fact is the SSS was a lot more expensive. This unit is basically a modified SSS Like I told master.The reason I say that is because in my research I discovered the physical size of the components .i.e. clutch plates was the same as the SSS but it was a fixed 2 way like the GT unlike the SSS and it had the clamping force of the GT. This sure sounds like a modified SSS to me !!! From my research but I will let you guys decide based on my info here.
Now master states he has never heard about Nismo modifieing there LSD's damn!!! What do you think a GT PRo TT is!!! ITs a GT PRo modified to be used in times trials . Use your brains here guys. Nismo buys and sets up stuff for racing of course the stuff is modified!!!
Excuse me for the mix up at the time the group buy was posted reliable sources were stating its the same thing as the GT.
Even the people at Nismo USA and Nissan North America could not tell me how many clutch plates it had or what its official designation was beyond the Nismo LSD thats the way it was listed not street not GT.
I put GT becuase I was under the impression thats what it was like stated above.
That was my mistake. Do not accuse me of being shady though there were no bad intentions and in fact at $750 shipped its still a helluva deal!!!!
standard pricing on this unit before tax is $790-850 . shipping on it would be another $50-60 do the math $850-910 before tax . Your saving at least $100 maybe more. I will say that anyone that buys it will most likely not be dissapointed if a lot of guys in Japan are using it and if some of the American drift competitors are using including some who have used KAAZ's and Tomei's it has to be pretty damn good.

P.S. I am going to be closing this group buy by christmas eve or earlier due to the rampant accusations going on and people not willing to listen to what Master and I have learned.
ITs a good unit well worth the money and no one could even begin to sell the GT at this price point . It would be below wholesale for the GT.
I did not know this, until I checked on the wholesale price of the GT, after I realized the mistake, due to people saying that this unit was the same as the GT due to it having the same clamping force.
Before all this started no one was sure how many clutch packs it had not even Wayne over at Phasetrend!! Not even my own sources!!!
That is the only reason I posted it as the GT. That is my bad and I do not deny it. If I was shady about it I would not even be posting this.
For those that have bought already I do not thing your going to be sorry its a dope ass unit none the less.
For anyone that still wants to buy get your word in because this group buy is about to close.

If you are refering to me not doing my research and accusing dave with bad intentions that is exactly the opposite of what i did. First of all I am the one who went to the nismo site and found the specs for the nismo lsd's second of all I never accused dave of being shady. We had a phone conversation and basically figured everything out. Dave is a good guy, i am just kinda disaapointed because i totally thought I was getting a nismo gt aka 20 clutch plate unit, However if this unit has the same clamping force as the GT i am ok with it. ok guys I am here I was out of town for the holidays.From the 23rd thru the 29th I got back for new years and was sick. Sorry but family and health important to me. Anyways here is the deal I have been talking to master on the phone on a regular basis.
Here is the deal on this. The Nismo LSD is the one you guys are getting. Its on its way you do not need output shafts for it . It drops into your stock housing using your stock output shafts. It is the one that I described earlier in the thread.I.E. a modified SSS unit. In case any of you guys have any doubt about this unit . All the American Pro competition drifters are running it. I.E. Ernie Fixmer, Charlie aka driftheaven, Jspecs driver and a lot more . I also did research on a lot of Japanese websites and found a lot of Japanese drifters using the same unit. Ask Vegita319 he got to drive a car with one installed and fell in love with how it hooked up.
This particular group buy is officially closed the people that ordered will get theirs. I will do another group buy later on on this unit It will be stated Nismo LSD so there will be no confusion. thank you

Ok, in summary, you guys thought you were getting a NISMO GT LSD, but instead, you're getting the NISMO LSD (non-GT) which is the same one that Phase2 and CourtesyNissan sell, right?

well if people still want these I will still get for them at the deal price. fact is this. if you read the thread you will understand I made a honest mistake in the title and the name which I completely admitted. Second thing is neither Courtesy or Phasetrend wishes or desires to meet the group buy price that I set. It was intended to be only for a certain amount of units. Third so many people are buying these Units locally its off the hook. Not one has been returned locally nor has anyone complained that its not good enough or does not hook up well. In fact its just the opposite everyone is smiling about them saying they love them. If you cannot get beyond these facts and think you need a unit thats intended for track use go buy one. I can gurantee if you run your car on the street at all with a unit intended for track use will annoy the daylights out of you and your passengers with the noise in low speed turns.
Its your choice and like I said earlier I came clean and was upfront about the mistake . You cannot even touch a Nismo GT LSD for under $1k wholesale. period. Plus the Nismo GT is a track unit and it will be very noisy.

drop in. I have an open diff and got the model for the open differential. When i say drop in, i mean no need to shim or the need for output shafts. Just gut the internals of the open diff and stick in the nismo and ur done.
